MotoGP » Stoner pole in Germany, Rossi 16th

"They seem to be stood still on development, fix the back the front gets worse, fix the front the back gets worse." Right - which is exactly the problem Stoner has been dealing with since the first time he threw a leg over the thing in pre-season testing in 2007! And what exactly have the erudite and insightful multitude here on crash had to say about it? My gloating and baiting is not really directed at Vale - I actually think he's in a bad place and I feel for him. I'm thumbing my nose at the balmy yellow army. I'm throwing some stick back at the idiots who threw it at me.

MotoGP » 'Confident' Simoncelli chasing season-best

He's got a huge future ahead of him, this boy. He's so quick. But he has to learn to stay on it. Fortunately, that's easier to do than to teach somebody slow to go fast. It's good to see that motorbike racing hasn't yet got so safe and responsible and professional that a wild child still can't come in and upset the apple cart. Good to see. LOL - Of course if he knocks Casey off this weekend I may not feel so positive about him.

MotoGP » 2012 Suter goes head-to-head with 800cc bikes

If you want quick results, going Marelli is a no brainer. BMW want to do it in house to develop the technology and the engineering expertise. They want to own the technology they use, they want to fully understand the technology they use, and then they want to productionise it and sell it. Winning races and championships is one objective. Developing a unique inhouse solution to a major engineering problem, and gaining unique expertise in this very difficult area, is the major objective. Developing a system that doesn't infringe anybody else's patents is probably rather attractive to them as well.
