MotoGP » Date set for Rossi to Yamaha announcement?

@Jimmy You want some stats? I posted this 383 days ago. No point in updating it now because we all know how it would read. 2007 to current In head to head, when both of them started the race and rode factory bikes. Stoner has defeated Rossi 41 times and Rossi defeated Stoner 31 times. Interesting to note that Rossi NEVER got in front of Stoner at any point over this 4 year period. He drew level twice. Once when Stoner had his bout of dairy issues, but then fell behind once Stoner returned, and the second period started at the French GP in 2010, when Stoner retired, and concluded when Rossi returned following his medical leave. Posted by Painless (383 days ago) Now if Rossi NEVER got in front of Stoner and Rossi is the greatest of all time then what can we conclude?

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: Pedrosa deal 'doesn't change anything'

So much bias in these comments. Rossi at his peak was phenomenal. Stoner at full tilt, what can you say, sublime. I have been privileged to see these two, wheel to wheel, at Phillip Island, lap after lap. However, motorcycle racers don't live forever. By all means support your favourites but don't put down the other riders. They all have their lives on the line.

MotoGP » Stoner set to retire between Doohan and Hailwood

@Shamu Feel free to rant as much as you like, this is the internet after all, but your diatribe is misdirected. I know this will come as a shock to you, but I am not Stoner's mate. In fact it is you that has a relationship with Casey Stoner and that is why the news about his position in history is upsetting you. Was it something he said? You can feel free to discuss your problem here. After all you are among friends.

MotoGP » Stoner set to retire between Doohan and Hailwood

Just to repeat myself. The 'championship', that some posters seem to think is so important, is a result of applying whatever the ruling bodies formula of the day is. In 2006 the field was decimated at the 7th round of the year and Hayden went on to win the 'championship'. Was he the best rider of 2006? In any case, whatever fries your burger, but do not think that we all subscribe to your view. I, for one, care about race wins. I am not interested in who wins the championship. That is just some arbitrary points system.
