MotoGP » Rossi hopes for more battles, better racing

I think we're reading too much into Rossi's comments. Yes, he loves a hard race, but he also hates losing. That's obvious from his reactions. JB's comments about Doohan loving winning and Rossi loving racing are spot on, but stop short. Rossi loves racing *and winning*. The buzz of a good race obviously isn't enough to counter the downer of losing. If he felt any other way he wouldn't still be racing.

WSBK » Byrne, Checa results 'speak for themselves'

@jorge alves, all you're really saying with the "homologation special" line is that Ducati takes the WSBK more seriously than the other marques. They could all do the same thing. Honda did it with the SP2, but went back to an IL4 and stuck with it. Why do you suppose that is? Maybe they didn't see the increased capacity allowed for twins as being all that much of an advantage.

MotoGP » Rossi fast, but F1 switch 'fun but not feasible'

I think the F1 outings are better described as track days than tests. Rossi has a great time in the overgrown go-karts, especially when he turns out to be quick. Ferrari gets some great publicity for a relatively low cost, with no real risk. They use an old car and non-F1 tyres and are not using a standard driver, so may learn something useful from the different driver but if it all goes south they're not risking their regular team. When it comes down to it, it's a fun couple of days on the track.
