F1 » Vettel wins Korean GP

Driver of the day: Lewis Hamilton... For the happy few of us who bother to concentrate on the details, it was a masterclass in maintaining speed and control in a car possessed by a demon of broken setup. Even that stupid rag of rug couldn't break his concentration. Well done Lewis. A hard earned point.

F1 » Stewart offers to aid Grosjean – again

Perhaps I'm losing my memory, but I don't remember all this bitching about this or that driver who supposedly causes an unacceptable number of crashes until the last few years. OK, maybe there was complaint about the backmarkers but the potential winners are doing something that any normal road user recognises as insane. Why should this be possible without crashes?

F1 » And now the cracks begin to show.....

I've never been anti Hamilton - I thought "maybe it's because I'm black" was funny, and everyone has daft moments. But I'm shocked that he is so off the planet that he would judge Button so lightly and without checking. It's only a phone call mate. For the first time I can understand what people say about his fairytale career. I still don't blame him 'cos he doesn't know what he's doing, but everyone around needs to watch out.

F1 » Alonso backs Hamilton switch

@107SS2009 - Nobody relevant ever said Perez had been offered the Ferrari seat. It was all speculation. I agree that Alonso seems very down on McLaren. And perfectly pleasant about Hamilton. I hadn't thought about Jens' chances next year. Good point, he will probably have one less driver in front of him won't he :-)

F1 » Alonso backs Hamilton switch

If I may be permitted to hijack this empty thread, I've just been reading the Thursday interviews from Suzuka and was very interested to see that Sergio Perez said that he never had an offer from Ferrari, despite his contacts with them, and that he believes that this is because they don't want to replace Massa at all.

F1 » Schumacher retires for second time

Aww dammit! I'm going to miss him! And I am NOT a fanboy at all. I hated him when I thought he and Briatore were cheating (remember the suspiciously over-worn plank), despised him for ramming Hill & Villeneuve, scoffed when Rubens moved over, but really really admired his skill and huge achievement in becoming the best F1 driver of them all. I hope he still gets on the telly - I've grown to like him over the last 3 years. He's been such a jolly fellow whenever he's been interviewed.
