F1 » Mercedes out to consolidate on Buddh momentum

Bridgestone were trying to curtail Red Bull's performance with the passed up tires, the better the tires get, the more the divide will grow unfortunately, many people just cannot comprehend how much faster that car is than any other out there. Ferrari have another chance mixing up the formula next year, but I really doubt they will be able to adapt or optimize as well as RedBull and it will again turn in to complete domination as Red Bull own the market in terms of engineering. All the sport needs is a well moderated weight penalty system to spice up the show, the unsafe tires and constant rule changes are a bit of a joke,

BSB » John Hopkins joins Tyco Suzuki

All due respect to Hopkins, but given that he took a year off, and his injuries kind of took it out of him the year before, it would be hard to see JB being told to move over to #2. Would be interesting to see those two on the same team, hope Hopper has some good support in that team, he will need it to get back in to the groove.

MotoGP » Japanese Moto2, Motegi - Race Results

Maybe Dorna do not do a good enough job selling their product to foreign interests? The more homogenzied MotoGP becomes the less interesting it is to audiences abroad. The only thing positive for GP's stock ticker is all the interest and motivation to turn Marquez in to the next Rossi, unfortunately Marquez can fake a smile, but he won't ever ring quite like Rossi, people can see through fakes, no matter how many people troll websites to promote Marquez as some sort of demigod/hero for the less critically inclined folk needing a bit of hero worship. Now Pol and his brother, they are much closer to what Rossi is so far as charisma :) But they don't have big oil money behind them, so it will be interesting, anyone know where to pull ratings statistics for GP races?

MotoGP » Sam Lowes: Why I chose Moto2 over WSBK

Sam didn't do so great on the Honda in WSS, it would seem patience and learning how to get the most out of his tires will be pretty important, as for traction control in Moto2, Sam's WSS bike will probably be quicker than his Moto2 bike even with the gimped tires they run in WSS, I suspect Sam will have no issues with the weaker geo(metro) motors. Sam's biggest hurdle will be the support he gets with the speedup chassis. As for Aegerter, that pretty much is his team, Kenan never had a good shot against him, and I rate Abraham over Aegerter. If you want to know how good Kenan could have been in Moto2 watch his wildcard performances with little to no experience, if you want to know about how important sponsorship and team support is in Moto2, watch his full season. That team was never the same after Tomizawa left it, I think Honda had him in mind for something big, I also think they have Nakagami in mind too if you know what I mean, as his motor his none to shabby down the straight wit

MotoGP » Pedrosa: I had nothing left

in case you missed it Honda finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, Jorge finished first because Dani's tires didnt keep up, just like the whole year and Marc cannot pass someone unless he barges through. The Honda is better than the Yamaha full stop, but the spectacle is more important than the manufacturers, this isn't F1, YFR and HRC will do what Dorna wants them to because the FIM and Dorna control the TV rights/sporting venues. In F1, there is more reason and more money with in the teams, but in MotoGP its pretty much a bunch of poor performers owned by Spanish interests. Even HRC had to beg for money a while back, MotoGP just doesnt have any real competition and the guys will go as cheap as they can as long as they can keep the ratings up, and sell bikes. Ducati have to be the most stupid for allowing the control tire to destroy their reputation in GP racing, I can't believe they stay in this sport that is Spanish rider Japanese maker oriented.
