MotoGP » Casey Stoner an official MotoGP legend

I am afraid, until someone puts a mediocre bike on the top step, you cannot really compare to GP's newest 'legend'. It's one thing to have things handed to you including a silver spoon, its another to ramble through the ranks and dominate races on a mediocre bike. You can compare Marquez to Stoner when he decides to let Repsol stop sponsoring him and he chooses a lessor bike, until then, there is no rational comparison to be made. It's also clear that Dani is being hobbled this year, and Marc is really the only factory Honda with a shot on the current tires.

MotoGP » Shinji Aoki (Bridgestone) - Q&A

There was nothing too wrong about Michelin's offering in 2008, it was Repsol btw who pushed the control tire over the top. The control tire is a joke, the sooner Yamaha get Michelin on their side and on their rims the better chance they have at a legitimate run in GP racing. Dani was better on Michelins in 2008 than he was in 2009 on Bridgestones. ... Repsol are just getting their ROI this year, I doubt they will be denied at least 2-3 years of BS tires, and BS for the rest of them.

MotoGP » Pedrosa poised to become second highest scorer

we all know when he had favored rider status last year after Stoner left he left Lorenzo for dead, just wish he wasnt fighting his bike and the tires this year, I can't see him beating Marc till he leaves that team though, its just not part of the script, and Marc needs to be the next demigod for Dorna's worshipers, and honda need good support from Repsol to keep their interests feasible.

MotoGP » Refocused Marquez ready for second ‘match point’

the only way Jorge can win is if there is a racing incident. But seeing as how Marc has set the precedent for pushing people off track and moving about the racing line in a dangerous fashion, with out picking up points, I don't think it will be that difficult to accomplish with out taking a penalty. I kind of hope Jorge pushes Marc off the track like Jerez, because it would be a great litmus test for how fair the politics really are in GP racing.

MotoGP » Smith challenging for British rookie record

Can't see that happening unless the factory is giving Pol special help. Cal in my estimation is faster than Lorenzo, he just doesnt have full works support and the bike built around him. I think people dont really know that it was the tires that promoted Tech3 last year and it's Cal keeping that hope alive this year. If the tires stay with Honda next year, expect more of the same.

F1 » F1 has lost the 'fear factor' - Davidson

hasty generalizations and ad hominems do not make one's pesky case Taipan. Exploitation is a big point when it comes to modern day entertainment though, and that exploitation goes both ways through the all seeing eye of the masses. *also with regards to Davidson's comment, I would have to say that aside from Maldanado on a bad day, and formerly Kobayashi, there are not to many drivers in F1 who disrespect the consequences of their actions, Romain had his issues learning how to drive close to others, but I truly believe 95% of those guys on the grid respect the limits of their car, the track, the conditions and the regulations.

F1 » Button: McLaren looking at minor points again

I think Button could be a politician if he wanted to, hes great with the camera, and knows how to put spin on a t*rd. Good news is the changes for next year might be so dramatic that his team might get a few positions higher in the points, I would have to think the teams with money for next year are gonna make gains over those who dont, and drive a larger wedge in between the haves and have nots.

MotoGP » Australian Moto2, Phillip Island - Race Results

I think Pol would have won the championship anyways had the tires not been such a huge factor in the early part of the season, but I have to say, Rabat is the man for this year, hes done the most out of anyone in GPs, all classes to elevate their own status as a real contender. SR is a quality rider, but he will need to distinguish himself in another class to really do it, the tires were tooooo big a factor in Moto2 this year.
