WSBK » Laverty: Melandri is a dirty rider…

meh. I like Melandri, and I think he flirts along the line of dirty and aggressive pretty fairly. Hes about as aggressive as you want to see anyone on a bike, anymore out of order and you might see some of the stuff Marquez does in MotoGP by throwing his bike in to other peoples lines at the last second or running people over in general.

MotoGP » Marquez: We are all human

Dani would have never won that race, his second bike had front end issues, Marc could have easily won that race but he had his pride/ego beating down his better senses and he lost it and lost the race. Marc is most dangerous when he knows he cannot pass some one or hes on a slower bike, just ask Luthi last year at Qatar.

MotoGP » Hayden: I'm sure more people watched than normal

synthetic composite is probably a better term for what forms the compound of those tires than 'rubber' While a 'softer' material will move more under load and create more heat, that heat at which the compound is optimized for is not necessarily related to it's stiffness. This is what happens when you allow monopolies of interest, fraud and incompetence.

MotoGP » Pedrosa poised to become second highest scorer

It's fair to say if Hayden had Dani's luck with the tires this year Hayden wouldnt have won in 2006 like he did, so kudos to Honda for letting that happen, 2007 was all about Stoner, Dani did finish 2nd tho 2008 was all about Rossi's comeback, Bridgestone managed both ends of the championship, and Yamaha managed to work some goodness with their DSPs 2009 was all about the control tire and Rossi, Repsol's push for Bridgestone did nothing for Honda or Dani 2010 was all about the control tire, Rossi breaking his leg, and Dani getting thrown off his bike, 2011 was Stoner's, and of course Dani's season opening injury from the previous year and Simoncelli bonking him at Le Mans. 2012 was all about getting Lorenzo the title and prepping for MM vs Lorenzo. Dani's only real shot at the title was last year, but that was after Stoner checked out, and his race pace magically improved to the point where he pretty much owned Lorenzo. Whats real in never-never land?

MotoGP » Shinji Aoki (Bridgestone) - Q&A

There was nothing too wrong about Michelin's offering in 2008, it was Repsol btw who pushed the control tire over the top. The control tire is a joke, the sooner Yamaha get Michelin on their side and on their rims the better chance they have at a legitimate run in GP racing. Dani was better on Michelins in 2008 than he was in 2009 on Bridgestones. ... Repsol are just getting their ROI this year, I doubt they will be denied at least 2-3 years of BS tires, and BS for the rest of them.

MotoGP » Pedrosa poised to become second highest scorer

we all know when he had favored rider status last year after Stoner left he left Lorenzo for dead, just wish he wasnt fighting his bike and the tires this year, I can't see him beating Marc till he leaves that team though, its just not part of the script, and Marc needs to be the next demigod for Dorna's worshipers, and honda need good support from Repsol to keep their interests feasible.

MotoGP » Refocused Marquez ready for second ‘match point’

the only way Jorge can win is if there is a racing incident. But seeing as how Marc has set the precedent for pushing people off track and moving about the racing line in a dangerous fashion, with out picking up points, I don't think it will be that difficult to accomplish with out taking a penalty. I kind of hope Jorge pushes Marc off the track like Jerez, because it would be a great litmus test for how fair the politics really are in GP racing.

MotoGP » Smith challenging for British rookie record

Can't see that happening unless the factory is giving Pol special help. Cal in my estimation is faster than Lorenzo, he just doesnt have full works support and the bike built around him. I think people dont really know that it was the tires that promoted Tech3 last year and it's Cal keeping that hope alive this year. If the tires stay with Honda next year, expect more of the same.
