F1 » Kate Walker: The rock and the hard place

Even as someone fortunate enough to afford the Sky package with its brilliant coverage, I have to agree with all this, but with a small tweak. F1 should be on ITV, to allow them to raise money from advertisers. There could then be a dedicated channel ITV F1 channel like Sky have, but without the paywall. And what's with YouTube? Or, more accurately, without YouTube? F1 should release every GP in HD on the Monday morning, to allow broadcasters to milk the live race before letting a wider audience in. I know loads of people who say they haven't watched a GP in years, and it can only get worse unless we make it a whole lot easier.

F1 » Kate Walker: Nico’s alleged thoughtcrime

The other possibility is that Mercedes have decided to milk the media for all it's worth, using every little incident to its fullest potential for publicity. It's not impossible that ROS, HAM and WOL are all acting deliberately to whip up as much outrage as possible. Great for the sport, for the team, and for the drivers to be portrayed as characterful players in a high drama.
