F1 » Ecclestone ‘a bit of an idiot’ for settling

I'm going out on a limb and saying I don't know what all the fuss is about. Bernie has done a brilliant job of taking on F1 as a hopeless gentleman's Sunday hobby when wanted nobody else wanted to, and turning it into a global supersport. He's made billions for himself, and hundreds of millions for many others. It's entrepreneurs like BCE who've built the world we live in, by taking chances, doing deals and looking after number one. Everyone who's whining about this story is a hypocrite, unless they're not using or consuming anything made or sold by Dell, Apple, Ford, Tesco, Sony, (ad infinitum - you get the idea) on a daily basis. All those businesses were started by one smart guy (usually, sorry girls) who had a vision and went out and did something about it. In case you hadn't noticed, folks, we live in a meritocracy. Anyone typing comments and reading this website had or still has the choice to make their lives as rich and successful as Bernie has. Continued...

F1 » UK government opens door to London GP

This alone shows what we're up against... "...the question of air quality and noise impact would have to be looked at very carefully." Wouldn't 22 cars on a piece of road for 3 days massively improve air quality compared to the thousand of taxis, buses and trucks that infest it every day of the week? And noise impact? Are they s****ing us? My neighbour rides a Harley that makes more noise than these whispering eco-turbo snooze machines. Anyway, good luck with the London GP!
