F1 » Teams were aware of sensor issue

I think red bull were playing the odds on this one. They made a decision to ignore the info from the stewads .Altering the fuel flow mid race may well have seen their car drop from second place and who knows where they would have ended up . At that point it would be impossible to argue the issue after the race and be regain any points they feel they may have possibly lost. By continuing to race without modifying fuel flow they finished second and now can take their chances with the appeal to the FIA. Having said that it appears to me they don't have a leg to stand on .The fuel flow for all teams was being monitored and others have probably had to make adjustments -perhaps erring on the side of caution- red bull chose not to. Everyone was informed that there would be no "wiggle room " on this issue. The Bulls had one car that retired after 4 laps and one that finished second under dubious circumstances., reigning world champs or not they need to operate under the stated perameters .
