F1 » McLaren: New rules will mix order

If you really want to shake up the order of things(and give fans real racing), Berni and the FIA could start by dropping these god-awful street circuits from the calendar...this includes monaco because they're increasingly dangerous(see the incident with webber in spain and that of massa earlier this year), slow and produce nothing but boring processional races that mirror a funeral. In the end these endless rule-making I keep seeing in NASCAR, MotoGP and now F1 really have nothing to do with containing cost let alone producing good reaces, but more with benefiting certain "powerful" parties...I'm looking at you ferrari.....

F1 » Hamilton: F1 can succeed in the USA

@bill.stark.12382 I partially agree with you but part of me also believe that entities like F1 and MotoGP really need to do a better job at selling themselves to the american pop culture scene. When I say they need to do a better job I'm talking about promoting/marketing the races and getting the racers into the mainstream spotlight even if mean resorting to staging a publicity stunt.

F1 » Hamilton: F1 can succeed in the USA

@KevinW I disagree with you on the notion that motorcycle racing is big america. In fact motorcycle racing of all kinds is very niche and to the point that the average person don't know who Valentino Rossi is, let alone Nicky Hayden or Kenny Roberts. Another thing I disagree with is when people say NASCAR is a hurdle to F1 ever becoming popular in america. The truth is just as it is with F1, NASCAR(and the same goes for IndyCar) suffer also in the sence of not really being in the mainstream. When I say not in the mainstream I'm talking about the fact that it doesn't get the level of coverage(other than the occasional controversy or death) as the other mainstream sports(NFL, NBA, MLB, college sports) Overall the truth is americans just don't really care about motorsports as whole which it quite disappointing and I say this because because motorsports as a whole whether it be cars, motorcycle, atv or whatever offer more in terms of excitement than typical ball and stick sport. @f
