F1 » Wolff: female F1 driver 'will definitely happen'

If you ask me personally, I don't think a seat should be given to a driver(or rider in the case MotoGP, SBK) based one gender , let alone nationality, sexuality, race, etc because in the end, all it does is essentially devolve the sport into nothing but a sideshow. When a driver(or rider) become nothing but a sideshow all it does take away from the mission of the sport and hurts the image of the sport overall. In the case of Ms. Patrick she'll have her day, but when things are said and done she'll have to prove to NASCAR and her sponsors that she's more than just a sideshow. Overall its my hope that neither F1 or MotoGP cave to the pressure of putting a woman. If a woman should be on the grid, it should be through talent rather than trying to run a sideshow like indycar and nascar have been doing.

F1 » Coulthard hits out at Albert Park protestors

Never thought I would say this, but I can sympathize with these protesters and why? To simpily put it, this is taxpayer money being used to fund these races to be honest and its something I'm not too in agreement with. If anything, I think F1 should follow in NASCAR and Indycar footstep let these races be corporate sanctioned as oppose to putting taxpayers on the hook.

F1 » Whitmarsh questions pay drivers

why are pay drivers becoming the new normal? blame the lavish spendings of teams like ferrari, mclaren, red bull which in turn gives them a huge competitive edge. to put things a proper prespective, when it come the mid-level to smaller teams they see pay drivers as a means in closing the competitive gap. Its for this reason why F1 need to adopt a budget cap as it would essentially close that gap thus taking pay driver out of the picture. Sadly though teams like ferrari, mclaren and red bull are happy with the status quo because it keeps them unchallenged.
