F1 » Contract talks to rule out Vettel-Alonso pairing?

When you are somebody that have brought Red Bull many victories of course there is cause to lock up that driver. In the case of Vettel I would very much expect Red Bull to make a move(before anybody else) locking him up for potentially years to come...its like the Lakers or Heat locking up Bryant or James with a sweet contract. In this case I would expect RB to go the full lenght by throwing him more money and perks/bonuses. As for alonso renewing, from my understanding his contract expires in 2016 and by then he would be pretty much at the average age of retirement for a F1 driver. With that in mind, from a business point of view Ferrari would be rushing things a bit too early because by then chances he might end up retiring from the sport. @107SS2009 If alonso decides to retire within the next 3 years it pretty much opens a spot for anybody. In the case of hamilton I wouldn't be suprised if ferrari has a pre-contract in the event of such a thing.

MOTOGP » Dorna boss impressed by Circuit of Wales plans

@Dr Who You bring up an interesting point about running multiple races in a country, but seeing how MotoGP is quite mainstream in the United Kingdom(despite lacking a strong grid presence over the last decade, crutchlow , bradley smith, toseland and danny kent being the exception to the rule) its pretty pointless to run multiple races. Now looking at america where MotoGP doesn't even register a blip on the radar its quite understandable for dorna to stage 3 races. Anyhow rather than adding new tracks to the calendar, I think dorna should focus on running tracks that would more like create competitive races. Speaking of, it would be awesome of dorna in the future drop motegi and run either suzuka or okayama.

F1 » Glock disappointed by F1's embrace of pay drivers

I very much sympathize with Glock on this matter, but when you think about it pay drivers are not a result of the economy but rather the fact you have teams like Mclaren, Ferrari and Red Bull who command high R&D budgets which essentially price other teams out of competition, the end result is that other teams need to seek out pay drivers in an effort to provide a measure of equalibrium on the grid. Its for this reason why support the idea of a budget cap because it does to two things: 1) lower the threshold for teams with mid-to-lower budgets and 2)destroy the current pecking order and make the grid even more competitive. Sadly though with the signals ferrari, mclaren and red bull have been sending in regards to a buget cap its obvious that this would never come to fruitation and simpily because these teams clearly like beating up on the little guys. For the record, this isn't a problem with F1 but it has became huge problem in MotoGP especially in the wake of Aprilia, KR Proton, K

NASCAR » Danica reveals she's dating fellow driver

@Alex K. Remember, this is the media and things like this sell about selling an imagine. Just imagine it was something like "Valentino Rossi reveal he's dating Kim Kardashian"(thankfully he won't stoop to this low) it would be all over the media. As for Danica, its amazing how the media continue to be obsessed over a driver who's career have very little to show for it.
