MotoGP » Wayne Rainey - Q&A

6uille: In the U.S., motorcycle road racing is frowned upon by the whole of it's society in general. The culture in the U.S. itself is unwelcoming towards sport bike and it's riders. If you are at a red light on a sport bike, in many towns you might be even mocked at but if next to you there is an obese person sitting on a Harley then he is the one being admired.
When it come to motorcycles the only thing americans really know about is harley davidson(I attribute this to the fact in the fact 80's the federal government bowed to harley davidson and made it hard for japanese and european imported to compete with harley davidson). Ontop of that it doesn't do motorcycle riders any justice when they're being viewed as hog-riding criminals .e.g. motorcycle clubs.
