MOTOGP » British MotoGP makes top ten UK attendance list

As an american MotoGP and motorcycle racing fan, I really envy europe and the UK passion/devotion for motorsports. Not ony that, but I also envy how the racers are treated...some of these people may it be Schumacher, Hamilton, Rossi, Stoner, or Lorenzo are bigger than the biggest american athlete. Going back to MotoGP though, it really saddens me that that the sport just haven't taken off here america, this despite having multiple home-bred world champs from Roberts all the way on up to the kentucky kid. In the end having Austin added to the calendar is great, not to mention hosting it in the spring, however in the end I just don't see MotoGP situation ever changing.

F1 » Grosjean stays grounded

I'm not a Grosjean person, but at the same time I'm not being judgemental of him. I do however I see him as a competitive driver given his podiums this year, however I believe this could be achieved if he doesn't fall off the cliff because the last thing F1 needs is another controversial driver like eddie irvine.

F1 » Kobayashi: It's over!

Its a quite shame actually, especially given his improved performance this season, especially with his suzuka podium. Overall if he doesn't end up finding its going to be quite a shame at not having a japanese driver on the grid. speaking of kobayashi's improvements, its quite a shame F1 doesn't have an award in place(similiar to NASCAR) to recognize drivers who have really improved alot as kobayashi would've gotten my vote.

F1 » Romain Grosjean wins 2012 Race of Champions

@Alan Romain might not have been the best of drivers this season, but you have to admit the fact that the guy has heart and a will to win. Afterall this is the guy that could've nearly won the canadian gp earlier this year. Overall I think people give the guy too much of a hard time, but anyhow congrats to Romain on this win and at least he could look back on 2012 and say he accomplished something.

F1 » Ecclestone: 10 teams would be best

If I were in bernies shoes I would be very concerned when it come the number of entries on the grid. Why? A full grid is a good sign of a healthy and financially thriving sport whereas a disappearing grid is a sign of a financially struggling sport. Just look at MotoGP...its in a state where factory competitors are disappearing right and left especially after the exist of Aprila, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. To fill the the needs of the grid Dorna had to swollow a posion pill and allow production bikes to race along prototypes. Now imagine if F1 starterd to have a disappearing grid -- we could very well end up in a situation similiar to MotoGP...one where GP2-level cars are put onto the F1 grid to fill the need. Not only that, but a endless cycle of rule-making to allow both types of cars to be competitive.
