@rhino I do believe Dorna wants to close the gap, but the questions to be are: a)how can you close the gap while still making it cost-effective for CRT's to compete b)how can you close the gap without blurring the line between CRT's and prototypes(one of Stoner's complaint about the direction of Motogp) Alot of people seem to forget that the only reason why the CRT catagory exist stem from the exit of apirila,suzuki and kawasaki for economic reasons.

NASCAR » Positive start for next-gen Cup cars

i've been reading up on this on various other sites and it seem to me like the new chassis might create an exciting season come next year. If anything its just this NASCAR really needs to get its back its strayed fans. Anyhow looking at the test results it seem like Montoya's pace seem to be improving alot. I wonder if this mean that he could be a real championsip contender next year.

While this is great news, if there is a team I would love to see back on the grid its Kawasaki as their bike was so underrated despite having such a good machine.

@CRT Good question, but the answer isn't who they should sponsor, but who they can partner with. In this case I could envision RB partnering with a chassis builder like Moriwaki for a prototype-level racer

If there is one team I would love to see back on the grid its Kawasaki, and simpily because I felt that the potential of the ZX-RR had not been tapped fully.

F1 » India keen to host F1 test

If were in Bernie's shoes, I would push more for america to be a site for off-season testing as it makes great sense from a business point of view as it would more the sport more exposure. Why either F1 or even Dorna haven't figure this out I don't know.

@CRT I don't think technical regulations are that much an issue when it come to sponsors, but overall the cost of run a racing program. Just look at F1, a series where budgets have run amok...the end result is that you have a condition where prominent sponsors are put in a position pulling out just because they cannot keep up the cost.

It would be nice to see Red Bull running a factory/works bike as oppose to a CRT or Satellite bike, however they lost the opportunity after the collapse of Hayate Racing(now rebranded Forward). For those unfamiliar with Hayate, they were pretty much a semi-factory team formed in the wake of Kawasaki motoGP pullout to continue the ZX-RR project. Now had they came along and saved ZX-RR project I could rightly see RB having a competitive works team.

F1 » Vettel officially crowned F1 champion for third time

Congrats to Vettel on achieving a third consecutive title. To further add, also congrats to 2012 other champs in other racing series e.g. MotoGP, NASCAR,WSBK, WEC,Indycar, etc. and here's hoping 2013 is exciting.
