F1 » Protests take place as F1 arrives in Bahrain

@Talpa, I have no doubt in your observations regarding unrest or protests as an F1 personnel, logic would prevail in that all F1 personal are restricted from venturing out of the safety net and most likely you would have very little time as personal to do any exploring other that making the observations you made from the airport to your hotel to the circuit are restricted to venture out. UK Foreign office are well informed with one of Britain's most senior policemen John Yates there to help Bahrain overhaul the way it operates its security forces to keep Al Khalifa dynasty in power.

F1 » Protests planned, but Bahrain 'not Syria'

Al-Khalifa dynasty backed by the western governments will only crack down harder on the protesters in order to ensure there won’t be any trouble for Bernie’s circus, Bernie has also ensured the media have packaged the Bahrain GP using spin and selective reporting to justify there decision to push ahead. As an F1 fan for over 25 years, Bernie’s justification to hold a GP in such troubled parts of the world seems wrong. Somehow I don’t think much sleep will be lost by people running the circus or by the Al-K’s dynasty. EDIT by CRASH.NET! Inapropriate comments removed. This is not a political forum.
