The key will be mind management, no question about his speed, intelligence or talent. Hamilton was a subject of mind control from a very young age,thus easier to control in the earlier days at F1.

@Richard totally agree, test driver need to have the ability to match the race drivers on both Q&Race pace for accurate data to be extracted from the car, Gene is most likely half a seconds of either driver both in Q and R trim. I think his appointment perhaps tells us something about Ferrari management.

Nike in my opinion is one of the great drives and he’s proved to be a winner against all odds, however as an adviser or whatever role he’s to eventually play at Mercedes, I fear its not going be one his success’s stories

take the opposite to be true. this, they have both learned from the political arena . Bernie is the ring master, its his project, he will appoint and mastermind the removal of anyone he’s had appointed, Ferrari has always been the one element Bernie has had difficulty controlling, the brand generates interest almost as much as Bernie’s F1 . But like Shumi, age will play its role in Bernie’s demise in the near future.
