F1 » Razia caught out by Marussia move

I agree 100% with Spud. The FIA should nominate a number of 'wings and slicks' classes as the natural feeders for F1. If you haven't WON a championship in one of these classes then you shouldn't qualify for an F1 license. This would force the F1 teams to seek their revenue from legitimate sponsorship rather than from rich wannabe drivers.

F1 » Further frustration for Mercedes

@Zelda ... Brawn GP if you remember correctly exploited the diffuser rule with their double diffuser which gave them a huge advantage over the other teams. That is the only reason that they won the championship ... in fact in the second half of the year they were pretty dismal and done their best to lose it. ~~ kind of similar to the double DRS that they tried this year, with less success ~~ Nobody is doubting German Engineering ... in fact the opposite ... what I am saying is that the effort that Merc have put into their return to F1 by purchasing Brawn GP is unfitting such a great marque with such an exceptional racing history. They should have started a team from scratch ... without the dead wood ... and they would have been winning by now.

F1 » Further frustration for Mercedes

Supporting this team is a waste of time. Norbert Haug and Ross Brawn need to resign or be fired and Merc need to give somebody else a go or turn the lights off. Ross Brawn has proved that he was just lucky at Ferrari to have the right people around him to make a successful car (Rory Byrne and a young Schumi) ... it had nothing to do with him.

F1 » Greece to press ahead with F1 venue

Whether in Greece or anywhere else in todays economy we don't need more circuits to be built. We need to take F1 back to the traditional racetracks and get back to grass-roots racing. Of course my opinion may be naive in that construction of such a circuit would stimulate the construction industry and provide employment. I just think that F1 circuits are over ellaborate and end up being white-elephants for most of the year.

F1 » Schumacher not to blame for poor results, insists Mercedes boss

Merc's return to F1 has been dismall and a half hearted effort at best. Buying the Brawn team which was on a road to nowhere has been nothing short of a catastrophe. Frankly i'd rather own a Tata than a Merc these days. @richard - They should have given him a car that runs in the front, then he wouldn't have been in a position to rear-end anyone.

F1 » Schumacher: I’m still motivated

The fact that he never announced his retirement straight after the shocking Mercedes decision shows that he is still enjoying the racing. That's what I love about Schumi is that he just wants to race. Personally I hope he continues for all eternity ... with Sauber or whoever .... you can't get a much worse car than the crap that Brawn and Merc gave him.

F1 » Lauda to take up Mercedes role

Strange move ... it doesn't matter really as this team is on a rollercoaster to nowhere. They have been for the past three years. Every year we hear the same promises from Ross Brawn and every year the car is crap. Personally I don't see it changing .... a dismal effort by such an iconic margue to return to F1. At least with Schumi they had some nostalgic support ... now that is lost too.
