F1 » Alonso: Damage limitation for Ferrari

This Ferrari looks very bad to me. It lacks power and seems to be very unstable under braking and through the corners. This shows a few major problems. I would be very surprised if they can get anything from this car without a major re-design. It is credit only to Alonso's genius that he is still third in the championship.

F1 » Hamilton not thinking of the future

There aren't that many drives available in top teams in F1. If I was Lewis I would be over the moon to get a new contract with McLaren. if he leaves it too late some new rookie might shine and McLaren could reconsider. Especially if he goes on a crashing spree like last year again. Lewis is arrogant to think that he would just walk into another team at will.

F1 » Further frustration for Ferrari

David, I think that virtually all of the cars use a pull rod rear suspension, which was one of the Adrian Newey innovations that has crept through. Ferrari however decided to use a pull rod front suspension aswell. Last used by Minardi in the year dot. Technically in a pull rod suspension the spring and damper are lower which aid in weight distribution and getting the centre of gravity lower. If you can get it right then it could be an advantage. The biggest problem is to fine tune the setup is difficult since it takes about 15 minutes to make a change. There are other problems but on a whole I think Ferrari took a risk and it hasn't paid off.
