MotoGP » February deadline for Factory or Open class

Its really a 'no brainer' for Ducati. When you have hit rock bottom there is only one way to go and that is up. The cheapest and best solution is 'open'. Screamer engines x 12 and spec ECU. Its not like the ECU is an issue for them. Their straight line speed was dismal last season. That was a huge issue. The wobbly front end was not half as much a problem, but rank and file bow down to the mass mind.

MotoGP » 'Big, big drop' in grip consigns Lorenzo to third

**bubble,I take your point but disagree on the basis of 'prototype'. Certain parameters should be cast in stone like capacity and fuel limit. But prototype should also encompass the tyre and chassis manufacturers. What next? Enforce a suspension supplier rule. The tyre war needs to be resumed as a matter of GP urgency, otherwise it will devolve into a UJM X2 sport. UJM = Universal Japanese Motorcycle. Notably Yamaha/Honda. Hell, not even their stablemates at Kawa and Suz can compete anymore. Surely a tyre war enticing Aprilia/BMW/Triumph and a resurgent Ducati would be prefereable to the current state of affairs. Or maybe its just survival of the fittest. Hardly a spectacle anymore. Rubberside down.

MotoGP » 'Big, big drop' in grip consigns Lorenzo to third

George is clearly one of the best ever. Alas he is sucking up the foibles of his mistake by capitulating to the whims of Dorna and Rossi by graciously allowing the Honda/Yamaha/Ducati turncoat back into the team. Erstwhile,Rossi wanted a wall between them and got it. You have to love a bloke who gets his way day in and day out. Forza#46. Anyway its a tyre issue. It is also a tyre issue at Ducati. It was a tyre issue for Honda last year. And who is Bridgestone's tyre consultant supreme as a racer current? Go figure.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Keep calm and think about the championship

Clearly the favourite for the race and the title. As for his critics and his attitude, give it up. A great friend of King Kenny and Wayne Rainey.Tough as nails. Iron fist in the velvet glove. Personally,I hope he wins emphatically enough to be so ectstatic that he takes a swim after the race again. Tell you what,if he wins this one,the 2013 title is as good as done and dusted, barring injury.

MotoGP » Marquez: 'Feet on the ground' for home debut

Within his Jerez record lies the rub. Marc is of similar stature to his predecessor, rides much the same way and has found Jerez to be one his bogey tracks. He is under no illusions of grandeur. I pick him to follow Dani's every move this weekend and learn, learn learn. I cannot see him beating Dani this time around barring misfortune or the heavens opening up on Sunday. No doubt he's aware of it and won't risk anything. Its a long season.
