WSBK » Portimao - Qualifying times (2)

@ Jonjo its been Desmo since DrT's tenure in the late 60's. But,I appreciate your angle. They put together a limited edition of L4's based on Capirossi's GP bike and right now I see no reason why with Audi backing, they cannot ressurect the project for the masses. Twin afficianado's will stay twin afficianado's. This is a loosely production based class and there exists a market for L twin and L four Desmo. They need look no further than Noale/Aprilia.

MotoGP » Mick Doohan to ride RC213V at Phillip Island

Speaking of choking Swiss. The series was choked to an extent when Mick got physically choked out of it. That opened doors for many a young turk. Stoner's retirement announcement this year also choked the series to an extent, but it again opened doors for young turks which is a good thing. Anyway,I always enjoy Doohan. Always have. Look forward to the parade lap.Prolly Bayliss,Gardner to join him. Bayliss on a Ducati of some or other persuasion no doubt, watched with a wry smile from CS#27 in pit lane on a Honda.

WSBK » Portimao - Qualifying times (2)

Max is on a mission and delivering on promise. He's not about to let Marco off the hook easily in superpole. On the other hand Ducati? Ligature asphyxiation and abdominal mass gain may well persuade the heirarchy to abandon the series for 2013. Like GP,they should confine it to 1000cc 4's only. Ducatista will buy Ducati's anyway. Judging by STK,even the oversquare is simply overslow.

MotoGP » Island feat 'may be step too far' for Stoner

Nevermind Tanner and Co. Next time that bunch ride a moped it will prolly be their first time to eat gravel. Back to topic. I hope Stoner makes it to Motegi reasonably fit. The last 4 rounds need him back all the way to the end of the 2012 championship,if only to inflame GP media in general He will retire from MotoGP post Valencia and thats it. Bow hunting,fishing,V8's I don't care. Good luck and all the best #27. I do believe he will make the Motegi grid for HRC. His integrity has never been in question. If there's a way,he will find the will.

MotoGP » San Marino MotoGP, Misano - Qualifying

A stretch and expectations. Tell you what. Rea acquitted himself extremely well. I always figured his biggest problem would be Bridgestone adapatation rather than bike. He can race and ride anything. Now,if he can put his aspirations re SBK and GP on the backburner and focus on bringing the bitch home in one piece,he will have put a boot rather than a shoe in at HRC. Lets face it,a whole bunch will bomb out of Misano 2012. Nature of the track. Mickey Mouse.

MotoGP » Rossi heads to final home race for Ducati

Tire war and Bridgestone/Ducati 2007. The Bridgestones were good at the fly away rounds, yet Michelin, given the number ratio concluded a vastly superior season. 2nd and 3rd in the championship I believe with about 6 bikes shod with them. No I havn't checked the whole deal, but the trend is about right. Capirossi was huge for Ducati during their infancy. I can't praise him enough for his efforts. Rossi at Ducati has been,well...a has been. Capirex at Rossi's age wrang the D16's neck week in and week out and won, podiumed legit with it many times. Let's put it this way. Should the Ducati museum stick up posters of their all time greats on their bikes,Loris has to stand head and shoulders above their greatest loser of all time..Valentino Rossi.
