MotoGP » 'No worries' - Stoner shrugs off another fall

Rawdawg, you need to read my post again, if he is losing the front by not loading the front tyre enough (and I would think he is doing this looking to carry more corner apex speed whilst not killing his front tyre) he needs to predict this outcome and chage his style accordingly. If he cannot "read" this handling situation coming he needs to avoid unloading the front early in an attempt to achieve more speed. If this is the case his suspension engineer has his work cut out! And don't forget, his rivals will see this as a weakness! Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedrosa are the masters of apex speed and with a little less power in the Duke now this could be a problem for Stoner in a close race.

MotoGP » Stoner apologises for Qatar crash

Stoner needs to work on his race set up during qualifying, no more of this 8 or 10 fast laps per session. Thats what caught him out, changed his style on a full tank of fuel without having tried it. In Japan he should do a long run on a full tank just to see what the bike does. I'm sure Vitto will know what to do more than me, I'm just going by his honest comments which I think is a start to Stoner addressing his limitations. I recon Rossi will want to up his game quick smart as this mistake by Stoner could make him faster in the next race (maybe not in qualifying?) because he will learn from his mistakes! Yamaha need to put an engine in their bike as well.

MotoGP » Stoner: Solid points is 'only objective'

Tez, I was honestly gutted when he left last year for those races, he is such a big part of Motogp and makes Rossi what he is and the races exciting for me and my family, I hope it goes well for him this year. You know when I watched him in '99 (my racing rival told me to go watch this Aussie kid) he was leaving black lines down paddock hill at brands from the front tyre of a street 125!! Awsome, but he looks exactly the same on the bike now, so I do feel he needs to change something to be the perfect racer. All in my opinion of course. Good luck to them all in all classes tonight.

Waz, let me make it easier for you to understand so you don't just see a bunch of words put together, when a rider as fast as Stoner and as good as Stoner (I have never denied this fact) has limitations they may be very small but have a massive impact on his final goals (normally to win a championship in his class) so although Stoner is one of the fastest riders in the world and can win races etc something stops him acheving his goal, that is a limitation other than speed alone, hope this helps.

Tez, so do I, and it's nothing to do with press savvy, Stoner IS arrogant to the point that he brands every rider in his class as dangerous (125's) because he isn't winning, and you know, in '07 he was reguarly snarling at other riders during qualifying and at his team. Last year before his "illness" he was flying (winning races, lap records etc) so was he saying that had he been fully fit he would have won all those races? Look, I have watched Stoner since the Aprillia 125 cup in 1999, I was racing out the same paddock and don't get me wrong, he won lots of races and broke lots of lap records and he still does, but he has limitations but I don't think he can deal with them.

His shifter got stuck! Stop the excuses we've all had enough of it! He doesn't know when or what tyre he set his fastest lap on!? Sounds like he can't diagnose his own riding due to over riding the bike all the time. This is the reason he has only wrapped up one championship throughout his GP career. Blindingly fast on his day but fragile over a season and just cannot accept the fact that there are riders that beat him even when he has the best bike on the grid.
