MotoGP » FIM: Rossi-Marquez clash has 'poisoned' MotoGP

bulletre: MOTO GP is poisoned because of your incompetence, - You should have pro-actively acted rather than giving press conferences re-actively. You should have called both VR and MM post THU press conference and warned them that any action on/off race which brings disrepute to MOTO GP would be heavily punished. You didn't do anything. - You allowed JL to overtake on yellow flag and didn't follow the rule book by taking action against JL - Though you admit MM have other motives than winning the race, you kept quite saying there is no rule ! Pathetic. Please don't deprive the fans of MOTO GP of fair racing. Get rid of your bias attitude and follow the rule book and if required update your rule book. We are not here to see race fixing.
Well said. And if I could just add to your post by saying that, MM should have been spoken to after that dubious overtaking move at Assen.

MotoGP » Yamaha: Rossi 'incorrect' but penalty 'harsh'

What Rossi did was unfortunate and I wish (like many others around the world) that it had not happened. Having said that, what MM did was highly un sportsman like. To think that in 2014, I was a person that sprooked of MM being something special. Well this years events on track (even before Sepang) by MM, have made me re evaluate my opinion. He's a spoilt little grub, and his nationality has allowed him to get away with murder over the years. No penalty points for his wreckless and dangerous riding over the years has added to what unfolded on Sunday. Rossi took matters into his own hands, but at low speed, the move was in no way dangerous to MM's health. Causing Pedrosa to highside after knocking his traction control sensor off, or punting Rossi into the sand at Assen are just some (and there are many) dangerous moves that could have put riders in hospital. Sad day for MOTO GP on Sunday.

MotoGP » Yamaha: Rossi 'incorrect' but penalty 'harsh'

Mark53: As Casey Stoner tweeted after the race, "if it were anyone else who knocked MM93 off the track he would have been black flagged". Shutting off, forcing a rider wide to confront him in the middle of a race? Pathetic, dangerous and childish. He should have been disqualified. You Rossi fans are delusional.
Who gives a flying f#*k what Stoner thinks. That sook took his ball and returned home. At least MM has the conviction to fight it out on track.

IMO, Rossi's own record & behaviour is what happens when the Organisers let a rider become bigger and feel untouchable & more powerful & important than the sport and its rules itself. Instead of learning from that, Dorna tried to create a Rossi successor for the baying ignorant mob in the form of Marquez. MM in turn promptly behaved like he was untouchable. Both men have been allowed to get away with things no others would have. It's high time MotoGP was run properly, then the racing & the top racers would take care of their own destinies through delivered performance quality.
Agree.
