MotoGP » Pedrosa eager to join battle of Britain

@PaulW54. "Rossi fans should be more concerned about Jorge catching him, thanRossi catching Dani." Yeah that makes sense Paul ? Rossi is ONLY 13 points behind Pedrosa, and Hooray is 36 points adrift of Rossi. In the 11 races so far, Hooray has finished in front of Rossi 5 times. Yet Rossi has beat Pedrosa 5 out of 11. Only 7 races to go remember. I know you don't like Rossi, which is fair enough. But the maths (at this stage) does not fit in with your comment. Go Rossi.

@ Sete. Is the glass half empty, or half full? Depending on your outlook (your pro Pedro) you can make statistics look favourable to the arguement you are canvassing. Only as recently as last week, MM stated (after losing for 1st time in 10 races) that it's not the race wins that count, but championships. You can also look back at Dani's career and see that 3 team mates have won titles in the 8 years he has been a Repsol Honda rider. To compare previous seasons and riders from other era's has to many variables. The riders you mentioned (Roberts, Sheene) only raced around 12 races in a season. Schwantz and Lawson had around15. We now race around 17. Anyway all the guys you mentioned as legends have won world titles. So yes, we will look back at Dani as being a great rider, but not (yet) a legend.

MotoGP » Rossi ‘closer to goal’ heading to Silverstone

@ Talent Fan. Your reading way to much into this tyre thing. Relax. There are that many variables that decide the package they front up to the start line with, and tyres is just 1 of them. Will tyres decide the outcome of the championship? No. The way the tyres are allocated, and the fact there are 18 races in a season, means that the most consistant (best) rider will win the title come the end of the season. The rules in creating a level playing field, have improved 100% since 2007. O.K. as you are eluding to, there may be a dodgey tyre here and there, we don't yet live in a perfect world. Relax.

MotoGP » Moto2: Dakota Mamola replaces Terol at Silverstone

Simon Cartledge: Good luck to the lad, must be great to have friends in high places! Not quite sure how someone running 11th in a national championship deserves a shot like this, but I hope he can make it count.
You only have to look at what Randy did for the sport, and the ongoing charity work through Moto GP is endless. Randy is still actively involved in Moto GP and if the contibutions made should allow his son to get a leg up in front of many others, fine by me. That's life.

MotoGP » 50-year-old McWilliams talks grand prix return!

shamarone: this has the making's of a OG Legends match race. I can see it now Foggy V Bayliss V Schwantz V Checa V Biaggi V Corser V Capirossi V Jezza V Edwards V Mammola V Doohan V Barros V Ago V Whitham V Mladin V Hodgson V Duhamel all going hammer/tongs for a few laps (3-5?) on equally prepped proddy 250's. schedule this to run at your least attended rounds of whatever series and it'll fill the stands...!!! hire extra polizei and security for those days, it's a guaranteed mob up. proceeds on this won't go to ALS (no slate, but this ain't no ice bucket challenge), proceeds will go to charities that are uniquely our OWN... like the "charity" of motorcycling itself (this is how we treat it) or say the Marco Simoncelli Foundation.
I wpould pay to see that.
