MotoGP » Lorenzo finally overcomes edge grip problems

Really missed seeing him up front last race as I am sure he is pi$$ed not being able to mix it with the guys also. I just have a problem getting in my head that things can be so dramitically different in 2 weeks. Why no edge grip problems at Mugello? I know all the keyboard warriors will have reasons, but hey, the 3 guys in front didn't have those issues. Is it maybe a fact that the tyre technology (or lack of depending on your outlook) means he may have to alter the way he rides ? After all when your on a 62 degree lean angle there is not much to play with in settings is there. That's when it comes down to the riders doesn't it? Just saying.

MotoGP » ‘Power cut’ strategy costs Lorenzo

therealDave: Just makes you wonder about 2012 when he never finished off the podium....how much advantage did he have from the tires which obviously suited his style and bike???? Before you all jump over my post, in the context of the bashing VR has reseaved for years discrediting his results for numerous reasons...I think its a fair question! And in true "basher" style, IF DP & MM didn't sit up due to the yellow flag and IF DP & MM didn't touch on the last lap, JLo 4 second gap would have been closer to 8 which VR got constantly cruisified for in 2013..... I know this post is a more rant than content but hey, after the last 3 years, it feels good to be in a position to dish some back!
I know where your coming from Dave. Feels good aye ?

MotoGP » Lorenzo finally overcomes edge grip problems

ProfessorX: Jorge's style won't win against a traction control powered honda power unit. Jorge also doesn't command Bridgestone, so his edge grip is still a problem until his solution translates to more than a few circuits with the variety of tires Bridgestone produces. There is also no guarantee Jorge can make the side of his tires last through a race, and I would have to wager if Repsol boy and Jorge are on the same tires, he won't have the side grip to last the whole race, their styles are so radically different, and Bridgestone won't choose Jorge over Repsol boy. The best Jorge can hope for is Marc to fake having slower pace, and then Jorge pulls something out of the hat that makes Marc think twice, thats about it, because Honda and Bridgestone can't be beat right now, and thats probably how it will stay, even if Marc decides to lose a race.
Don't disagree with what your saying, but you do admit there styles are radically different. Tyres won't chan

MotoGP » Rossi satisfied after hitting top five target

1050cc:
Huskymick:
Forzavalentino: i have followed vale since the italian championship and have idolised him for 2 decades my sons name is valentino!!! i don't know what hurts most valentino rossi struggling to stay with the top guys last year (which was painful !!) or him now conceding that he can no longer match the top guys!!! Valentino Rossi is the greatest rider of all time yet he no longer can match the three spaniards!! i love valentino but this is beginning to make me cringe!!!
He has had he's day, he may win the odd race if the gods are with him, but he has had he's day. All he is now doing is blocking a factory seat for young bloods.
So who would take his seat and pose a threat to MM or JL? Who? You think if you put either of the Espargaro brothers on there they would suddenly beat those guys? Rossi is past his best, but to suggest he is "taking up a seat" is just silly. He's second in the championship for gawd
