MotoGP » Helmet issue 'cost Lorenzo chance of victory'

Noriben: It is Lorenzo himself who opted for the second-rate HJC over the first-rate Arai, Shoei, AGV etc. He's a two time world champion and is still prevailing as one of the tile favorites in the pinnacle of motorcycle racing. So, he can choose any helmet if he wants. Any helmet brand will welcome him with both hands. Yet he chose the HJC, the second-rate helmet, for the sake of money, and it finally led to a loss of possible 12 points (1st 25p / 4th 13p) in the most competitive season in decades. He has to pay the cost for his wrong decision now. If he appears at Austin wearing the same HJC on his head, I will call him a real idiot, and will regard the helmet issues in Qatar as just a excuse.
Mate, out of all the comments I have so far read on this subject, your comment is the most realistic. 2nd half of last paragraph is a bit harsh, but the 1st half is right on the money.

Abefan: Kevin Schwantz,, John Kocinski, cheap watches. If youve been watching gp long enough, you'll know what I mean.
40 years for me and I haven't got a clue what you mean. WTF.
Kocinski won the Aussie go in 93 or94 on the cagiva and was beating his chest a bit. Schwantz was interviewed and asked what he thought of the challenge from kocinski. Kevin laughed and said " he will fall apart like a cheap watch as the year goes on". He was right. Lorenzo reminds me of kocinski Always has. You have a good memory, thanks for elaborating.
