MotoGP » Barry Sheene tribute at Silverstone MotoGP

Riders like Barry are hard to find and not just for their ability to peddle a 500 around a racetrack. He moved to Australia ( the climate helped his injuries i believe) and that was our gain. He became a commentator and promomoted the sport, helped upcoming riders, and in his role as a comentator on motor sport, was priceless. He gave back to a sport that gave him so much. That is passion. I was lucky enough to witness some races of his in Europe 1980, memories that are still with me. We remember him every year via the "Barry Sheene Ride" to Phillip Island. A 10 year tribute to his passing at the British GP, is befitting for person of his calibre.

MotoGP » Dominant Marquez pulls clear with US hat-trick

@ shuggiemac. "He's a kind of special talent. Pedrosa very well may never get a world title now. He is the fitting successor to Vale as the next truly great rider. If he stays injury free the only danger is that it turns in to a Dohhanesque era, predictable procession fest." Marc has already shown more carisma and personality this year than Doohan did in his whole career. So if it does as you say, turn into a predictable procession fest, it will be more enjoyable than when Doohan did it. Good post, my sentiments also.

MotoGP » Worst of season as braking, corner entry woes hamper Rossi

Rossi has already done enough this year to cheer me up after 2 years missing in action. Whatever results he gets for the remainder of the year will just be an added bonus. Burnt his bridges at Yamaha, won't win again, etc etc are just some of the things he has already dispelled. Let's see what else he can do to make his distractors look even dumber than they have already proved themselves to be. To all you Rossi fans who constantly react to posters that slag off at him, give up. If they can't see Rossi coming to the end of a career as one of the best there ever was, they have blinkers on, and nothing you guys post will change there minds. Go Rossi and I'm happy to witness the next Rossi coming of age. Marc Marques. Pity he rides a Honda though. lol.
