MotoGP » Marquez overcomes adversity in pole thriller

This is yet another reason why race fans should savour what they are watching. Big delay in getting the bike started with minutes to go in Qual. Goes out and the bike $hits itself. Sprints back to his 2nd bike (these 2 hic ups alone would have taken the sting out of anyone else), and with only 1 lap to get refocused, nails pole on the next and last lap. Loved the shot of the crew doing a debrief in the pits of the potential stuff up while MM was out there. And then even their disbelief and jubilation on the result. Incredible.

MotoGP » Rossi ‘closer’, ‘shame’ Stoner not here

Yearby23: It's nice that Valentino portrays that respect for Stoner, as Stoner has towards Rossi since he retired. Go Vale! Ps... If only Rossi's 'diehard' fans followed Rossi's example on the above point.
That's what I like about Rossi, still playing mind games with Stoner, even now. Lol. And as for respect ? Stoner has shown his lack of that towards Rossi over the years and I don't think that has changed.

MotoGP » Honda explains Stoner decision

Codger: Unless you come on here and praise Stoner, and say he is better than Rossi, then you are automatically branded as a 'hater'. As I'm impartial on Casey issues I'll risk it anyway. For someone who retired because he didn't like the limelight, why is he 'Tweeting' and drawing attention to himself ? For someone who retired because he didn't want to ride 'dumbed down' bikes, why is he testing and also racing glorified road bikes ? Why do Honda feel that they have to explain their decision not to use Casey twice ? My point ?...Too many inconsistencies, much more to this story than we are told.
The word "hypocrite" fits in nicely.

MotoGP » Qatar podiums mean Ducati race fuel reduced

grantrd: contd............Honda and Yamaha are being penalised for getting it right so long ago. It's also extremely unfair on the satellite teams, they will get no new parts over the course of a season because Honda & Yamaha cant develop so what is there to pass down.......The satellite ducatis will probably have the new gp15 by the middle of the season whilst crutchlow, redding and the monster boys are stuck with what they have........they don't even get the sticky tyre for qualifying to try and improve their starts......... Once again, How in any sane persons mind is that fair.......................?
It probably isn't, but hey it's the rule makers, not Ducati's fault.

MotoGP » Dovi tempted by title thoughts, reality '5-6 races'

999666GP15: Regardless of what what I saw was a AD capable of standing toe to toe with the best of the best. If Ducati gives Dovi the bike to fight for it he can win this championship and that pair is what seems to be really worrying MM more than the Yamahas as he's been talking about Ducati and Dovi for weeks now.
I don't think Marquez is worried at all. That's not his angle.
Yeah MM has just been talking about them (Dovi and Ducati) because like us, he to would like to see another contender getting closer to the pointy end.

MotoGP » Helmet issue 'cost Lorenzo chance of victory'

Abefan: Kevin Schwantz,, John Kocinski, cheap watches. If youve been watching gp long enough, you'll know what I mean.
40 years for me and I haven't got a clue what you mean. WTF.
Kocinski won the Aussie go in 93 or94 on the cagiva and was beating his chest a bit. Schwantz was interviewed and asked what he thought of the challenge from kocinski. Kevin laughed and said " he will fall apart like a cheap watch as the year goes on". He was right. Lorenzo reminds me of kocinski Always has. You have a good memory, thanks for elaborating.
