MotoGP » Marquez: I feel that we won the race

A true champion is gracious in defeat, and by MM trying to blame Rossi for the reason he came 2nd and not 1st is disgraceful sportsmanship. He had a go, and good on MM for that, it's what we all want to see. But Rossi has forgotten more than MM has learnt to date, and when faced with the situation MM put him in, he used his racecraft, and in a millisecond came up with what was a winning alternative. If he hadn't they may have both crashed. Unfortunately we are witnessing (more than in the previous 2 seasons), MM's Moto 2 riding style surfacing. I believe this is because things are not all going his way this year. His barging style is a little over the top, but up till now MM has come off 2nd best against Rossi, so he may be learning something. Great race, great contest, and the better rider won on the day.

MotoGP » PICS: Rossi, Marquez final turn Assen showdown

Interesting for me was the reporter that asked MM, "where did you expect Rossi end up" after your planned move. MM told all the reporters that the move had been planned during practice. He also told them during warm up he rehearsed the move. All he could come up with is that it would block Rossi's racing line into the next left hander. Yeah right, if Rossi made it that far. What a crock of $hit. He was out to punt Rossi off line and off the track. Well done Rossi. Out smarted the smart ****.

MotoGP » Marquez: Today I learned motocross from Rossi

dustytraks: If marquez had the perfect line and got the bike stopped how come he ended up the wrong side of the kerb exiting the chicane.
because of the contact, thats the only reason marc went wide, he did a block pass, the idea being rossi has nowhere to go and has to roll off and accept defeat, but as we've seen before Rossi will do anything to win.
That's the best one yet. He did a block pass. In order to do a block pass, firstly you must get passed. That he never achieved!! All he managed was to run into the side of Rossi. Would definitely not call that a block pass, more like a f**k up.
Don't know why you bothered to respond, but I'm glad you did. Very funny.

MotoGP » MotoGP Assen - Race Results

One of the reporters wrote this, "A final attack by Marquez was inevitable and it came at the infamous Assen chicane, with Marquez running in hot on Rossi's inside, colliding with the Movistar Yamaha and forcing Rossi to pull his M1 upright and run straight through the grave"l. That's how I saw it, and if MM didn't use Rossi as a brake, there is no way he would have even made the corner. Anyway rubbing is racing, and that was a great race. Go Rossi.
