F1 » Ferrari blasts Stefan GP 'vultures', Mosley's 'holy war'

I despise the public arrogance of Ferrari. In today's world where organisations hardly ever publicly criticise each other for fear of sounding arrogant, Ferrari instead go out of their way to produce a dated image in which they appear 'snobby’ and look down their nose at their rivals. The fact is Campos Meta and USF1 are struggling financially because Ferrari take most of the F1 profits for themselves and the FOTA group spent months scheming to sabotage the promised 'budget cup'. This was because it threatened to allow new teams to compete in the exclusive 'manufacturer' F1 club. In an F1 world where you needed at least $200 million to compete it kept the private F1 teams out of the sport.

F1 » Campos Meta takeover confirmed

Bernie Ecclestone now has a heart and has stepped in to save one of the smaller F1 teams, surely not!!! Maybe Bernie cares about all the F1 teams and not just Ferrari after all! If he has stepped in to save Campos and people currently working there I would consider this one of his greatest achievements in running F1. We all slag Bernie off as F1 fans but when the likes of Ferrari want Campos Meta dead so they can 'swallow up’ the grid for themselves and have 3 car teams, Bernie has gone out of his way to stand up against Ferrari and encourage the survival of the new teams, which can show the calibre of competing in F1. You have to ask what was in it for him? Credit where it’s due.

F1 » Chandhok says no Stefan GP deal...yet – as Villeneuve enters frame

as much as I want to believe this story as a Villeneuve fan myself, what is the source on Villenuve being linked to StefanF1 other than the fact Mr Ecclestone encouraged the return of Michael Schumacher? Villeneuve has talked about his motivation for returning to F1 for a while now but if he is so keen to return, and if it is such a good idea to put him in the car why does he not put up some of the $50 million or more he earned at BAR to get the drive? $5 million should probably do it?
