F1 » Red Bull still favourite, urges Korean winner Alonso

Just found this pre-Bahrain race report on planetf1 "Ferrari made a precautionary engine change to both Massa and Alonso's cars after spotting "abnormalities" in the telemetry" So maybe the engines are good afterall but there still must be some question mark over them unless Ferrari pulled them purely to make the other contenders think Ferrari were already on the back foot as far as engines go.

F1 » Nothing out-of-reach, says 'racer' Hamilton – we can still do it!

5 seconds a lap near the end when it was obvious Alonso was fast with good tyres is common sense given the lead he had over 3rd place. Not much of a fan of FA's attitude but he did drive well today as did LH, but it has to be noted that DNF's throughout a season are playing a big part in the standings. So far LH=3, JB=2, SV=3, MW=2 and FA=1 so its no surprise whose leading. Now that Alonso has used all his engines at least once, I'm hoping the DNF playing field levels out a bit more

F1 » FIA makes road offence proposal

If this rule was added then I can see increased odds of non-Ferrari drivers being targeted by Italian traffic police in the run up to Italian races. Of course this could be offset partly if the UK & other host countries police forces kept a close eye out for minor highway code transgressions by Spanish drivers although I think its fair to say the Italians might be better at this game. in other words its a stupid idea open underhand tricks which is why it sounds like FIA might well adopt it
