F1 » ‘The Strategy Group is not fit for purpose’

My history may be very clouded, but my recollection is that when 'Max and Bernie', i.e., the FIA, were running the show, the owners and constructors were at odds with them all the time and resulted in the formation of FOCA and FOTA, which in turn resulted in the general threat by FOTA to start its own series in 2010. Pardon my cynicism, but the notion that all the teams are now prepared to just go along with what mummy and daddy say, indeed WANT to be told what to do by shareholders whose interests don't reflect those of the teams, doesn't seem to ring true for me. But that's just me.

F1 » Ecclestone backs Red Bull's 'equalisation mechanism' call

Standardisation is the antithesis of what the 'top engineering formula in automobiles' should be about. That Red Bull was perfectly happy winning four titles in a row with an engineering advantage makes Horner's bleating shameful. I see him well less a sportsman for this whole episode. I will be terribly disappointed and probably stop watching F1 if they alter the formula/regulations to suit RB's needs at this point in the midst of the new season. Not that Bernie cares, but I hope they lose plenty of sponsors as more people react like I will. Sponsors Bernie cares about.

F1 » Rosberg disciplined by Mercedes

If you had an employee who messed with a big contract the company had, and admitted it, you wouldn't think twice about firing the guy. I personally would love to see Rosberg do it again and see if MB would actually penalize him hard, e.g., hold him out a race, etc. Now THAT would be team management worth talking about.
