F1 » Ecclestone backs Red Bull's 'equalisation mechanism' call

Standardisation is the antithesis of what the 'top engineering formula in automobiles' should be about. That Red Bull was perfectly happy winning four titles in a row with an engineering advantage makes Horner's bleating shameful. I see him well less a sportsman for this whole episode. I will be terribly disappointed and probably stop watching F1 if they alter the formula/regulations to suit RB's needs at this point in the midst of the new season. Not that Bernie cares, but I hope they lose plenty of sponsors as more people react like I will. Sponsors Bernie cares about.

F1 » Rosberg disciplined by Mercedes

If you had an employee who messed with a big contract the company had, and admitted it, you wouldn't think twice about firing the guy. I personally would love to see Rosberg do it again and see if MB would actually penalize him hard, e.g., hold him out a race, etc. Now THAT would be team management worth talking about.

MotoGP » Marquez straight up to speed in Mugello

Commenting on the riders isn't really a matter of being a better rider than they are. We're allowed, as racing fans, to observe the sport and comment on what's going on. I was a big Pedrosa fan early on in his MotoGP career, but over time he's not delivered a title in spite of being the no. 1 rider at Honda for a time. He has an advantage in being so small and Honda built the 800 to fit him. Still I always have the feeling that he lacks the heart of a champion. He's fast as can be, but I can't recall him being so far down a time chart as he is today, FP1 or not. To not be top five on the factory Honda seems to be a symptom of something else going on, IMHO. Marquez is making it look easy right now, but he sure does seem to pass a lot of folks doing it. The battle with Rossi in the first race of the year was great, the charge from 11th to the front in at Le Mans was also fun to watch. You can't really blame him for making it boring at times if nobody steps up to challenge him. I hope
