F1 » Heidfeld set to fight Renault exit

Andrew I agree with your sentiment in wishing Senna well, but I can't see him doing any better than either Nick or Vitaly. As others have said, this team has gone right down the tubes and without car performance how can the management expect the drivers to perform? That said though, Nick always seems to get all the bad luck.

F1 » Hamilton wins three-way battle at the 'Ring

Great race from all the top 3. Webber was a little unlucky with traffic maybe and definitely screwed by poor strategy for the third stop. Seb got lucky at the end with Massa and forth place though I am glad he didn't get a podium as it is getting too monotonous with him. Hopefully now Ferrari and mclaren can push RBR for the rest of the season.

F1 » Button: Amazing victory, the best of my career

Richard Canada is known for alot of safety cars, in those conditions on what the Americans would call a tempory road course, it's more likely. Jenson had a great race and showed he was a worthy champion. Fantastic! Another thought though, in IRL they would have had a Full Course Caution more often than that. At least for some incidents F1 covers it with waved yellows, over there there are too many safety cars in comparison.

F1 » Hunt hits out at Group Lotus F1 move

Having looked up on the history of Lotus in various motorsport history books that I have. Lotus Engineering nee Group was created by Colin Chapman in 1952. This entity raced in sports cars. Chapman seperated Team Lotus from Lotus in 1956 and originally suplied cars to the Vanwall team before entering F1 in 1958. Therefore, David Hunt did have the rights to Team Lotus as he bought the team under British law from Peter Chapman in 1994 and raced as Team Lotus as has already been said for the last two races of '94. The team was bankrupt hence the sale. If I remember correctly, ITV thanked Hunt for the loan of a Senna F1 car circa 1986 for a feature of past cars over 5 decades of F1.

F1 » Fernandes insists he 'won't drag Lotus brand through the gutter'

As others have already mentioned, I have looked in a motorsport history book that I have. Lotus Engineering was created in 1952 racing mostly in sports cars but then supported Vanwall in F1 in 1956/58. But by that time Team Lotus was seperated from the company in 1954. So as David Hunt said, TL were seperate from Lotus cars/Group and not the same.
