F1 » Heidfeld: We know where we need to improve

I think for the most part Nick has been underrated. He brings more to Lotus Renault than just points. He’s been in the circus long enough that he can help evaluated and develop the car. Is he the fastest driver out there, no, but neither is Petrov. Of the two I suspect Heidfeld is the better driver. Vitaly may bring cash, but Nick brings experience, which may be even more valuable. And on a side note about Nicks collision with Kamui, I think he called it right, and this coming from a Kobayashi fan.

F1 » Take a high-speed lap of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is an awesome track. Most F1 drivers love it. Beyond that, the city and fans are above and beyond almost anything you'll find in F1 today. Montreal absolutely embraces and exudes F1 for this week. Out side Monza there is little that can compare with the excitement that Montreal offers. I for one would go there every year if possible...oh the pity.

F1 » Kobayashi boosts Sauber after Perez crash

Brilliant drive once again. There aren’t many who could drag that Sauber around the track like Kobayashi. Just bothers me that he doesn’t get the fan base he deserves. Kamui fans like myself will be marking the June 12th weekend to be especially impressive. Kobayashi has said in the past his greatest disappointment was his showing last year at Montreal. Looking forward to an inspired drive for redemption.

F1 » Petrov: Qualifying in F1 has little meaning now...

In fairness I have to admit I'm not a fan of Petrov, but it seems that he maybe protesting too much. Kobayashi, kicked him to the curb, even though he was forced to pit after the first lap due to a flat thus having to use a second set of tires. I don’t think many would say that Sauber is the equal of Lotus Renault this year, yet Kamui handed Vitaly his a** on a platter in Spain.

F1 » Rosberg backs Schumacher

I was amused, but fully agreed with a poster from a previous thread who stated, and I paraphrase, “One does not endorse ones teammate until he has well and truly beaten him.” I think here we have seen just such evidence. For my part I think Nico is one of the most underrated drivers out there. My hope would be to see him and Kamu-chan racing together. Hmmm....Renault perhaps?
