MotoGP » Official: Jack Miller to MotoGP with Honda

AvTech37: This is about as rational as Scotland going independent!
What?..... Really? Has this been on the news!? :-) ho ho ho It reminds me a bit of when Theo Walcott went to the 2006 world cup (sorry about the footy reference folks). There's plenty of riders who have made big moves with out necessary having the results to back it up but we should all know well enough by now that results alone are not the only factor in getting a ride. Yeah so this one is a bit of a reach, but I guess stranger things can happen, Stoner was ok in the lower classes and smashed the LCR honda to bits enough times in his first MGP year and didn't (in my opinion) appear to have "next world champ" written all over him when he came up off the 250 or at the end of 2006 and I'm sure Ducati can't have predicted what would happen in 2007 so fair play to Miller, I hope he can make it work out. Its good work if you can get it!

MotoGP » Alvaro Bautista confirmed with Gresini Aprilia

Taz: Maybe the best available for essentially a development ride....
The best available for both parties I reckon, a happy medium. A half decent rider with limited options looking to stay on a MGP salary and a manufacturer looking for a half decent rider with some experience but who won't break the bank. I expect middle third of the field results from this combination.

MotoGP » Rossi: Honda has found something

Huskymick: MM is just better than the rest, whats the old saying a bad workman always blames his tools.
and the other old saying, always use the right tool for the job. I'm not sure rossi is guilty of trying to substitute possible short comings in the yam for a lack of skill on his part, perhaps he just feels the yams not quite where the the honda is, he's deffo wise enough to know he is not where MM is, nobody is! Either way, at their respective stages in their careers I reckon if VR and MM started the season on each others bikes the championship table would not look much different.

MotoGP » Rossi: Honda has found something

"and it is actually far more likely that he'd be less effective on one than on the Repsol RCV" why? if the statement about him winning cant be made because its based on nothing then surely the opposite conclusion can't be arrived at either for the same reason. Neither outcome is certain at the end of the day but is it really that "amazing" to think a rider can change manufacturers and still win?
