MotoGP » Yamaha confirm Valentino Rossi’s return

Out of 8 factory ducati riders in 10 years 6 of them have world titles to their name, of which 15 titles came from within grand prix racing. the fact that ducati only have 1 to their name says it all for me. the blind fanatics and haters of any rider need to cut the riders some slack and realise its the manufacturer thats the let down here. The riders should be applauded for having the minerals to get in to bed with them at all and not criticised when they take a better offer when it comes along.

@john 2007 is long gone, even if he was not retiring CS is not and was never the answer to ducatis problem, and neither is any rider for that matter. many folk imply on here that it only went wrong for ducati after CS left and VR joined but both riders have left this one manufacturer for a reason and its not that either of them are incapable, it seems clear, to me at least, looking at their 10 season record in MGP, regardless of riders, engine capacity, rule changes etc... ducatis problems are between the ears of the staff not in the wrists of the long list of riders who have walked away.

thats because they have a different amount of cylinders in SBK, in MGP they have a V4 so it shouldnt be a problem, but true, they did seem to get a few leg ups in SBK over the years, dont know if its still the case. They dont need help from dorna to sort their MGP issues, then need to change their approach to the design and certainly to their riders and their crews before they get any further forward.

@mack the knife Ducati hardly had a glittering mgp history before rossi got there (1 title and scatterings of wins and whats SBK got to do with it?), granted VR hasnt taken ducati any where but the amount of career casualty's on ducatis mgp cv is hard to ignore, 9x word champ or not. I find it hard to accept this is a great factory as far as prototype racing is concerned.
