MotoGP » Rossi: Marc’s wins the rider, mine the Honda...

Good post Brian. The last sentence is open to debate. Mediocre or not they were the best in the World at the time. It will be sad in more ways than one if in a few years time punters are saying that Marquez had mediocre talent to race against. You've just proved that Rossi is mediocre, Dani can't string a season together and, for whatever reason, Lozzer is below his usual standard. It all goes to making MotoGP the best sport that there has ever been. (that's if you don't count chucking Christians to lions in Roman times)

SkyWilk.......I concede, now that I know where your figures came from. A couple of points to left out 2008 and 2014 where Rossi has out scored Jorge. Secondly, as SasquatchBob points out the stats flatter Lorenzo a little. I still stand by my post that started all this, a direct comparison of the two is impossible, too many outside influences, tyres, broken legs, one was a rookie, getting used to a bike designed for someone else, etc.etc. Somebody predicted that Lorenzo will outscore Rossi from now on, which will prove your point that Jorge is faster than Rossi. The history books will still show that at the end of the season Rossi finished ahead. Stats, I just love them.
