MotoGP » Dovizioso wraps up 2014 for Ducati in style apologies....I forgot to answer your question. I explain it that year Stoner was the fastest rider on the fastest bike. (Now you can explain how he was only 5th, slower than Nicky and Crutchers ,the following year.) Again, it is not a dig, just not relevant to me responding to kma55. The issue for me is whether the Ducati has improved and it has. More riders are able to go fast on this years bike too. And please don't jump on me because Dovi is better than Stoner.

With thanks to Sport Rider Magazine :- . "In Qatar, he passed Rossi at will down the front straight. In Shanghai, the gap was slightly less alarming, but still evident. Stoner doesn't want to hear it. "I think everybody's surprised that it's not the big advantage [they thought it would be]," he said. And it wasn't, at least not over the Ducati of Alex Hofmann or the Honda RC212V of Dani Pedrosa. But the average gap to Rossi's Yamaha was more than five mph. "I think people should stop talking about the speed of the Ducati, and [talk about] the fact that it does go around the corners as well." "

My above post can show that the 2007 Ducati was the best bike on the grid, BUT only in Stoner's hands. Casey obviously loved the bike and it showed by him winning the Title. Ducati changed the Engine and Bike for 08 and although he rode out of his skin, he found it more difficult to exploit it's advantages. Besides which Yam and Honda had improved for 08 as well.
