MotoGP » Pirro stands in for injured Petrucci at Pramac

Hoppy .....I understand why people are yearning for Casey to do 'wildcards', I also understand why people would think that he would be competitive. If it turns out that he could be a front runner why on Earth would Ducati want to risk him taking points away from the two Andreas ? He is more useful to them as a test rider, testing parts that the factory riders can't test. ( I'm not sure how though, even if he finds improvements. The Works riders have different riding styles and anyway they would still have to test the parts themselves )

Seems fair to me. A local hotshot as a wildcard in his home race is fully understandable and welcome. A retired World Champion ? Maybe not. Any one interested in the Ducati Winglets checkout this :- visordown.com/snippets/sheene-the-crowd-were-pigs/8181.html Sorry the attached story is bit off but the Photo is the best that I could find. Note the date 1977......nothing new under the sun it seems.
