MotoGP » Marc Marquez: King of the kerb

A couple of points to offer on the recent posts. Marc is well on the way to defending his Title, something Casey and many others couldn't do. The current crop of riders are considered the best for some time, and yet Rossi is given little acknowledgement for gaining a World Title against them. Then going on to defend it as well. Marc, in my view, has made more of an impression on the Grand Prix scene already compared to Stoner. Troy....an Aussie we can all be proud of, wherever we come from.

MotoGP » Rossi rues time lost on opening laps

Certain posters find it very difficult to find any positives with Rossi's performances. Here is some help. Rossi set a lap time on lap 2 that Marc couldn't better for 13 laps...... and Jorge never did match it. So no, Rossi is not slower now because of his advancing years. It is obvious from the lap by lap times that Rossi had cooked his tyres by lap 7, he dropped half a second a lap. So no, Rossi unable to fight for the whole race is not down to his age, or being over cautious. Jorge started from 3rd and finished 2nd. Rossi started from 6th and finished 3rd.
