MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

I wonder what TalentFan/ProfX have to say about this. Dorna must have pulled a lot of strings to make this happen. All the effort that Cal put in to learn to speak English with an Italian accent....will he be able to use his skills with the next team ? Will MCN print a 2 page retraction next week. ? Does Sham understand his own posts. ? So many questions, so few answers.

MotoGP » Moto3: Miller marks himself ‘five out of ten’

Yearby23, I'm talking about sulking when you lose and laughing when you win (or have a good race) is OK, it's called showing emotion. Winning a race and then complaining about things in Parc Ferme is going to alienate fans, isn't it ? (we're not talking 'haters' here, but genuine fans who have a leaning toward or away from any given rider.) Cal has an unfortunate way of doing well in a race and then saying he could have done better if he had different equipment. That, imo, costs him fans. Casey would win a race and then talk about his, or his bikes', or his tyres' problems. That, imo, cost him some fans. I've never spent time with any GP riders (a little time at Sheene's place maybe.) so how I form my opinions I've no idea. Using Aussies' as an example I thought Doohan was dour, Casey and Gardner were a bit miserable, Baylis should have been a god. Carruthers should have been God's mechanic, tough rider in his day too. Beatty, Corser quiet and dignified. The whole lot of them (and t

Yearby23.....I'm aware of what you are saying, and I respect his feelings about that side of the GP world. He may well have loved racing motorcycle, it never seemed to show though. The same could be said for Jorge and Dani, they could be a little more demonstrative, although Dani does smile nowadays, now that he is out from under his manager's shadow. For me Hopper kicking 7 bells out of his Suzuki is OK, Marc walking around with a permanent grin on his face is OK, Jack Miller throwing a wobbly is OK too. Casey and Cal's demeanor, not so OK.

Forgive this old Pom from butting in with a couple of points. I must admit that I never warmed to Casey simply because he didn't enjoy racing motorcycles. I understand a lad moaning when things don't go his way but for gods' sake enjoy your successes when they come. For me nationality doesn't come into who I support and who I don't. For instance there were many riders from England who were far better than Barry.....but he had a personality that brought him many fans, just that I wasn't one of them. And Aussies, stop arguing among yourselves :) You have had some of the best riders in the history of GP racing, enjoy it.. (Troy Baylis, I miss him.)
