MotoGP » MotoGP weight changes, software freeze

I'm guessing here, ( I'm one of the 'dimmest students' ), but surely the advantages that a tiddler has MUST outweigh the advantages that a porker has. Why else would 95% of the top riders be so small, and why would the bikes be made physically smaller to accommodate them ? The only advantage that a bigger rider has is that he can push or pull his weight forward or backward to aid traction. I see no fair solution to it. The nearest that I can get is a minimum bike+rider weight limit and the littlies wear a weighted belt. I don't see that as fair but then neither is adding ballast to the bikes. After all where would you place it to compensate for the bigger lads weight which is mostly above the bike anyway ?

MotoGP » Dovizioso: We're getting closer all the time

Realist.....I see where you are coming from. None of us know though if the concessions are helping, or not. They went open to allow them to develop while racing, the fuel doesn't help it's not an issue for Ducati. The tyres allocation has actually hindered Ducati in several races this year, there have been times when they needed the harder tyres which the factories can use.

MotoGP » Victorious Valentino Rossi 'at the best of my career'

Marc showed his true spirit today. Fell off and didn't sulk. Couldn't get it restarted. Eventually got going some 30 seconds behind the last man. Rode his heart out to get an unneeded point. The guy is a racer, through and through. Porkpie......A good unbiased, level headed post from you. Not many of those around. Please can we stop with the texting shorthand, us old farts can't understand it.

TalentFan/ProfX........AND some managers are no longer signing up taller riders. Must mean that taller riders (anatomy dictates that they are heavier too) carry a disadvantage. The laws of physics make that a fact, despite what some people believe. Besides, why would the Manufacturers spend millions making their GP bikes smaller (in size) ? ps see my comment above yours :)
