MotoGP » Rossi ‘thinking’ tenth world title

Brian....I think I can see the dilemma that you are in. This season Rossi is going for his 10th (tenth) Title. He wouldn't say that if he didn't think he had a chance of getting it. You are terrified that he might get it. Stoner was an exceptional rider who had 2 good years, but he is no longer here. A bit like Freddy Spencer in a way. Except that Freddy garnered a 250cc Title.

Brian......The lad did well, as you say, although Dani and Rossi were getting over injuries, Jorge was looking after his Title aspirations and these things helped Stoner to finish the year strongly. Bear in mind that although Casey knew the bike well it took him until race 13 to get his first win. Bear in mind also that in the 2nd half of the season he had 3 no scores to add to his previous 2 and even my man Dovi beat him in one of the races. :). Wasn't 2010 the year that Stoner finished 4th in the Championship behind a guy with a badly busted leg ? The Ducati certainly wasn't that good a bike to hand over to anyone.

Too many times I read that Rossi did nothing on the Ducati. ( incidentally I dispute that. He finished top Ducati rider In both years and he and JB made the bike easier to ride, which they were paid to do ) Those that choose Stoner's achievements to belittle Rossi should think about how Casey's stats would look if he had stayed to ride the Ducati that Rossi was given. Casey couldn't wait to get off it the same as Rossi couldn't.
