MotoGP » Qatar winner Marquez wants more Rossi battles

Reasons to think that the Fat Man shouldn't be a commentator. 1 his unfunny jokes. 2 he agrees with his colleague and stresses that he was just about to say the same thing (he wasn't) 3 he keeps interrupting the other person speaking. 4 he pauses between each word as though what he is saying is the most important thing you've ever heard. 5 he makes lots of mistakes 6 he talks about inane subjects instead of what is happening on track. 7 he probably has never ridden a motorcycle 8 he writes brilliant books. He is probably a really nice bloke, just can't commentate.

For my fellow old fogies.....BT Sport have produced a film about Mike Hailwood, including never before seen footage. There is a taster on their site now with his son Dave fronting it. The sound of his Honda is amazing. So too is the size of Ryder's belly. Younger guys would probably be surprised how the sport has changed over the years. (he stops mid race at the side of the road and some guy changes a spark plug)!! It won't help everybody, I know, but it's being shown tonight on BT Sport-Channel 510-and it lasts 90 minutes. Catch it if you can, and with any luck it will appear on YouTube one day.

Poddy....You got me. I was referring to the current riders and shouldn't have used Hailwood as an example. He was in my mind because he would admit it even if he had legitimate reasons not to. It is never my intention to 'stir the pot'. If I wanted to do that I would only have to remind people of the fisherman's reactions when he got beaten. I have now watched well over 10 races btw. Praising ones opponent is not really as common as you make out, but it is good when it does happen. Same with Lozzer, he held his hand up for the reason for his crash when he could so easily have blamed his tyres. Good on him.

TrueFan.......You covered well there, but it doesn't show why the Sat bikes are quicker than Factory bikes. You might agree that the factory has the 2 better riders, and as far as I know, they were all on the same tyres, so....?? Also there were 8 riders, including Yam, Honda, and Ducati, that had a higher top speed than Rossi, and he was higher than Jorge. (remember this is over the entire weekend)

MotoGP » Crutchlow's Ducati 'in a different place'

I am in no way interested in cars, mine is just to get me from A to B. Am I right in thinking that the VW Polo is their 'bottom of the range' car ? Well look at this :- "As well as electronic stability control, all new Polos come with Hill Hold and an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System which brakes the vehicle after a collision, minimising the chance a second impact. New optional safety features include a Driver Alert System and adaptive cruise control plus a low speed auto braking function." Bloody Electronics get on my t1ts.

Rally UK » Strong start for Harraway.

Aegis....Fun? I tried that with my saying that the Northern Lights were coming from the lovely little northerner. Nobody noticed so I'm sulking. With the surprise of Rossi's performance I would expect that one of our Dutch friends is confined to bed rest for a while. Lucifer.....one word. Jack Miller. oops that's two.
