MotoGP » Rossi rues time lost on opening laps

Brian......Why were you not on here denigrating Jorge when Rossi was finishing ahead of him ? Also why does it please you so much that Rossi can't win the Title when every rider from Dani down can't either ? Where are you, and the other posters who have Rossi under their skin, getting this stuff from that his fans treat him as a god ? Just asking.

Fair comment BJR.......made me smile. Unfortunately for 'racecraft' it goes out of the window when an overexcited puppy called Aleix is trying to hump your leg. A proper system of qualifying would not let that happen. Meanwhile his team mate enjoyed a clear track. ( I'm comparing the 2 Yamahas tyres, not the riders ) After all despite his efforts where did Aleix finish. Anyway, I'm just trying to balance things out a bit by pointing out that Rossi is not as slow as a lot of people are trying to say. In fact he is faster this year than he was last year, so probably not time to give his seat up yet. Admittedly his Title winning years may be behind him, but then so are Dani's and Jorge's.

Brian......I don't think that I showed that age is his problem at all. Check the lap by lap times and you'll see that he did not "slowly fall off", He dropped half a second from lap 8 onward. Prior to that he was quicker than Jorge and Marc who had a clear track. After the first corner, Jorge in the lead Rossi 5th. Come the finish Jorge lost a place while Rossi gained two. Despite his cooked tyre and despite his old age he did OK if you are honest. I'm peed off that Rossi caught and passed Dovi but that doesn't make me blind to the fact that he had a good ride.
