WRC » Kubica: 50-50 if I stay in WRC

richard, I think Kubica is too young to give up. If there are possibilities to improve his mobility (and not only for his career sake) then why not? Why nobody is telling Evans or Sordo to give up WRC? Kubica got more stage wins that them! He took different approach, more speed and more risk so he crashed more. And it is still not obvious that he can not drive an F1 car, he can, on 80% of tracks. I wish I was F1 driver manager... you work for a month every 3 years then pocket a chunk of their salary....

WRC » Kubica: 50-50 if I stay in WRC

richard, I am only saying what I read, Kubica had been offered to test F1 car, they (Merc? Williams?) would not make an offer if he was unable to comply with the rules. Robert is (probably very soon) going to have a surgery to improve mobility of his arm. Hopefully it will work and then we will see. He deserves some luck.

WRC » Kubica: 50-50 if I stay in WRC

Taz, you misunderstood my comment, I don't want ANY young driver from WRC to give up, including Kubica. They are all making progress. I just don't understand why so many say Kubica should give up but not the other drivers. He won WRC2 on his first attempt and he won 5 stages on his first year in WRC, that is an excellent result. It seems RK has to develop a very tough skin, mental toughness, not to get affected by unjust comments. But that goes for all top drivers. Look at all negative comments Alonso or Hamilton get, top F1 drivers.

WRC » Kubica crashes out in final test

It was a great weekend, another win and cool, controlled drive. 5 stages won on the debut year!!! (so far). Great. RK crashed in the very end but that did not cost him anything, just an injured ego. He would have been 4th or 5th, it is not that he lost a championship. All attention laps or conditions/pace judgement mistakes are part of gaining experience. He is constantly improving so all still looks good. Ford was not that bad on asphalt, no chance to keep up with VW thou. Great weekend but why WRC starts at 7.30am???? Who gets up at this time on Sundays?????

WRC » Distraction fails to deter Kubica

RK is one of 10 best rally drivers in the world. I wouldn't feel that sorry for him. IMO he just needs a little more time to work around his limitations. I don't think he is complaining. After every stage all drivers are asked to comment. They just say what (if anything) went wrong. I would rather hear what really happened than some polite answer stage after stage.
