WSBK » Fabrizio returns to Ducati machinery for Imola

When a team needs a replacement to stand-in for an injured rider I do wish that they'd be more brave with their choice. The stand-in isn't going to do anything for the championship so you may as well take a punt from one of the national series or support series. Why not give Andrew Reid or Kyle Ryde a call? I just don't think that Michel has got that desperation any more and you can be sure that someone like Andrew or Kyle would do something interesting with that bike!

MotoGP » Smith’s ankle ‘a four to six month injury’

It's a real shame that Bradley seems to draw the trolling remarks on this site. He is simply a world class racer who is taking all opportunities offered to him. At a personal level he is always polite and respectful and on track is always hard working and fast. If you think someone else should have his ride, fair enough - even though Herve P disagrees with you, but do you really think that a rider who has speed and self belief should relinquish his ride because of an armchair expert's opinion?? He's doing fine at the moment but I still think he will make that breakthrough.

BSB » Michael Rutter joins Gearlink Kawasaki for Brands Hatch

I'm a big fan of Gearlink, they're the kind of team that keep racing going. I'm thinking that this could be a good move because we know that the Kawa can be fast but hasn't shone in their hands so far and hopefully the experience and input from Michael Rutter will get the machine further up the grid. I always enjoy it when Gearlink do well anyway because you then have the added spectacle of watching Norma do her nut at the finish line!

MotoGP » Rossi: Marquez made a mistake

It's a shame that people are making this out to be some kind of grudge match or that one rider or the other was stupid or dangerous. As far as I could see it was a racing incident but came about because both MM and VR are supremely able, motivated and aggressive riders. Neither of them seem excessively put out by what happened. The important thing was that it was an absolute belter of a race with the great drama of the chase being topped off with 2 riders at their peak sorting it out at the end. MM is a real phenomenon but I can't help feeling that all's right with the world if VR wins - absolutely loved the race!

MotoGP » Moto2 COTA, Texas - Free Practice (2) Results

Man, that was a bad crash for Sam - I'm really pleased that he managed to walk (stagger) away from it. That man is tough! He's a world champion though so knows how to keep a bike on the road. I remember Anthony West saying that the Speed Up is far more finicky to set up and more of a 'threading the needle' chassis than the Kalex so I'm thinking that Sam may be the victim of this. The good thing is that he's got the speed to succeed and may go right to the top. It's great to have Brit shining so brightly. It's just a shame that Alex hasn't got the bike to show what he can do.
