BSB » Dan Linfoot - Q&A

Really enjoyed the interview and am looking forward to what a confident Dan can do. But I think that BSB is in a bit of a crisis at the moment in that it desperately needs new exciting riders coming through its ranks. The racing is good but the excitement of having riders like Cal, Leon, Leon, Tom etc etc around has gone. Most of the riders have been around for ages and there are few riders like Andrew Reid or Luke Hedger coming through. MSV needs to go to Barcelona and learn how they do it there, they have a federation there which is reponsible for riders like Marc, Pol. Dani, Jorge, Aleix. Carlos etc. There's nothing about being Catalan that makes you fast. it's about how the riders are brought on and we need to learn from that.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner to test 2015 Honda, Michelins

@herewego It's interesting that Casey still gives rise to such debate and controversy. I think that his problem was that he simply didn't have a likeable media personality and furthermore didn't regard it as important. I guess it was partly the media aspect of it that soured MotoGP for him. As regards his talent, to say that 2 championships isn't much really is taking leave of reality, it's something that only very, very few riders have achieved at top level. The crucial thing about Casey's 2 however was that one was achieved on the Duke which his team mate was nowhere on. The result of swapping VR onto the Duke and CS onto the Honda make me question which of the 2 riders had the most raw talent. I often didn't warm to his character on screen (particularly after Laguna Seca)but I'm confident that if I met him in person when he was relaxed I'd like him just fine.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner to test 2015 Honda, Michelins

After 2 years Casey probably isn't bike fit and with a new talent like MM around I think that CS would have a pretty much vertical learning curve to get to the front again. It would all come down to motivation and how he handled the initial blow to his confidence. The problem with Casey is that he has achieved pretty much all there is to be achieved in MotoGP, earned more money than he can spend and then gone on to a more rounded family life. He would have to come back for the love of racing and the paddock and we all know how much he likes the BS in the paddock. He should continue with his new life and leave an incredible legacy intact, I'll miss him though, one of the few riders you could just watch race a lap and be entertained.

MotoGP » Jack Miller tipped for the top

I think he's pretty charismatic and really shows his emotions which is rare and highly welcome nowadays but we've only had one season of decent results from him. Both A Marquez and Fenati have impressed me about as much. His results before this year were not as impressive and I think there's too much potentially damaging hype surrounding him. A move directly to MotoGP might either feed into his sky high confidence and bring him on or he might have it crushed by racing a dog like the Ducati, production Honda or CRT. Either way it would be interesting to see how a rider performs coming directly from Moto3 and could establish a new pathway to the top class
