MotoGP » ‘Frozen’ Crutchlow looking for movement

Nobody expected Cal to do anything on this year's bike but his problem is that he's doing so badly that he's putting the second year of his contract in danger, and if he bombs out of Ducati it's hard to see where he could get a ride. This has only been made worse by Dovi getting his head down and putting in some really solid rides. I think the big question at the moment is what he'll be doing in 2015 because even if you've got a 2 year contract there is usually some kind of performance clause in it. As for next year's Ducati, when it comes to Ducati promising a performance increase, we've heard it so many times that from now on that we're not interested in words, we're interested in results and given the results from the past an improvement is highly unlikely. People build Gigi up but he's just another team manger.

MotoGP » Nakamoto: Racing is in Honda’s DNA

"Great platform to develop new motorcycles" I've always ridden bikes and don't think there's a single thing from MotoGP that I want on my bike. Developing bikes from racing has resulted in super focussed, uncomfortable things that have way too much power to use on the roads. If you offered me multiprogram ECU's and ABS, I'd just keep what I've got. Honda seems to encourage the development of ever more bland, complicated, expensive and accademic bikes that can't be fixed economically when they go wrong. Honda need to look at the old Ducati 900SS so that they can see what really makes a motorcycle desirable.

MotoGP » ‘Soft’ Espargaro leads quick Catalunya FP1

@jorgebest I reckon that at the moment his talent is limited by his bike, just look what Colin is doing on the same equipment. He's a rider that I'd really like to see on a proper factory bike to see what he can do and if I were Yamaha I'd test him. It'd be interesting to put him in Tech3 as an Espargaro super team. I'm a bit biassed though because I've chosen him for my MCN fantasy road race team!

MotoGP » Crutchlow predicts 'tough circuit' for Ducati

I don't think the Ducati suits many riders, but it definitely doesn't suit Cal. He's just lucky that everybody knows that problems when you go to Ducati tend to be because of the bike so hopefully he hasn't totally ruined his career. Marco Melandri didn't have that luxury, everybody thought it was him. Once you're in a downward spiral at Ducati it's a tough thing to escape from and it's hard to see where he'd get a ride in MotoGP after his contract expires. I just hope he'll earn enough in that time to set him up. 2016 may well see him on the then equivalent to a CRT or better still in WSBK.
