MotoGP » EXCLUSIVE: Wilco Zeelenberg - Q&A

It's interesting that he justifies MotoGP electronics development by the fact that they are now appearing on the latest R1, I mean how far from reality can you be? The R1 is a lovely toy but is specifically designed for the track - it's crippling to ride, will cost you more than a decent car and will be difficult to keep below any speed limit. More and more bikers are turning away from these rather ridiculous playthings and I've just sold my 1000cc sports bike because I was tired of aching wrists, endlessly unintentionally breaking the speed limit, expensive consumables and worse fuel consumption than my car. They forget to mention that as modern bikes get more 'sexy' and sophisticated they also become stupidly expensive.

WSBK » Sykes critical of van der Mark pass in race one

Personally I was super impressed by Michael VDM. Successful racers need aggression and fire and any rider moving to the front will always ruffle feathers. I agree with Tom that it was a pretty hard pass but then again I wouldn't say that he was riding fast enough to justify his place. I guess that the best way for him to avoid hard passes is to be sufficiently ahead on the track to make it impossible (unless the rider behind you is Marco Melandri).

MotoGP » Rossi: New Ducati ‘fast’, tyre rule ‘unfair’

Personally I want to see how the Duc goes against the big 4 first. The main thing I want to see is other riders being able to mix it at the front to make for more exciting racing. These concessions aren't that big and in the (extremely) unlikely event that Ducati come out and dominate races they'll be handicapped and everything will start at zero in 2016 anyway. I just like seeing a bit of argy bargy.
