MotoGP » RESULTS: What you think of MotoGP

Absolute speed was never a good thing in racing, if you can't get 250bhp to the track through your tyre contact patch, then you'll have to reduce the power, or have a rider who has great throttle control. The important thing is to give the rider a machine they can express themselves on. Then we might get more racing rather than machine/electronics/rider packages finding their optimum speed and then spreading out as they attain it.

MotoGP » Michael Czysz: How to save MotoGP

@RSMick - "Bikes have come a long way in developement in the last 10 years" - no they haven't, they've just become more expensive, more complicated, more track focussed and less easy to repair. I ride an SV1000 and my main problem is keeping under the speed limit and paying for the super expensive 'race developed' tyres. MotoGP 'develops' race bikes, all the expensive, complicated traction control, ABS, fuel injection etc etc just gets on my nerves.
