WSBK » WSBK Rider of the Year vote: 3rd

For me the main place where Tom let himself down was in his conduct and character, he didn't show enough desire to race the person in front of him rather than relying on team strategies and was too quick to blame other people when things weren't going right. 3 years ago I was probably TS' biggest fan, now I'm not.

MotoGP » Eugene Laverty: Opportunity knocks

It's pointless to wish for some kind of Moto2 grid in MotoGP, it just ain't gonna happen - the top 4 slots are taken. On the plus side though, Moto3 supplies us with all the racing we need for the whole weekend. I think if the Aspar team were like the PBR team last season then I'd agree that EL would just be a grid filler but I think there are some positives here: - EL has a smooth high corner speed style which will adapt well to MotoGP - Aspar is a serious team with good expertise - This season the customer Honda was a sweet handling bike but down on power - the power has now been increased. If he beats NH, JM or KA he will already have impressed and if he doesn't then that will be down to him but for me EL is a dark horse.

BSB » Jackson joins Kiyonari at Buildbase BMW

Westmoreland was fast but was one of those perpetual mid pack BSB riders. For me it was Alex Lowes who showed how it should be done. As a young rider Lee Jackson has potential to improve but I feel that if he had had the kind of desperation that rider needs to succeed then he would have done more with the rides he had on a race winning BMW. He pedalled it around mid pack when Alex would have crashed out of the lead and qualified it on pole. Lee has to sparkle more this season.
