MotoGP » ‘Soft’ Espargaro leads quick Catalunya FP1

@jorgebest I reckon that at the moment his talent is limited by his bike, just look what Colin is doing on the same equipment. He's a rider that I'd really like to see on a proper factory bike to see what he can do and if I were Yamaha I'd test him. It'd be interesting to put him in Tech3 as an Espargaro super team. I'm a bit biassed though because I've chosen him for my MCN fantasy road race team!

MotoGP » Crutchlow predicts 'tough circuit' for Ducati

I don't think the Ducati suits many riders, but it definitely doesn't suit Cal. He's just lucky that everybody knows that problems when you go to Ducati tend to be because of the bike so hopefully he hasn't totally ruined his career. Marco Melandri didn't have that luxury, everybody thought it was him. Once you're in a downward spiral at Ducati it's a tough thing to escape from and it's hard to see where he'd get a ride in MotoGP after his contract expires. I just hope he'll earn enough in that time to set him up. 2016 may well see him on the then equivalent to a CRT or better still in WSBK.

MotoGP » Marquez 'nearly crashed in every corner'

I think Jorge put more heart and commitment into his riding on Sunday than Marc. It looked as if Marc was riding more within his capabilities whereas Jorge seemed to have removed his brain and could only see the win. Ride of the day for me was Jorge. MM is an absolute phenomenon and will take his place somewhere near the top of all time riders but what we need now is for someone to beat him fair and square and I can't see anyone except for Jorge being able to do that. Have never been a JL fan, but now maybe....

MotoGP » Rossi ‘in talks’ over new Yamaha contract

I agree that a 1 year contract would be ideal. At the moment it's unclear if Vale is building and recovering from his experience at Ducati or if he is starting to race 'just for fun'. For me he is a similar kind of situation to Dani in that he isn't an exciting new talent but at the same time he maintains his position as one of the fastest 5 riders in the championship. If he did well next year then the contract extension would happen anyway whereas if he started to flag then it would allow him to bow out gracefully or make a move to WSBK (which is where I would like to see him)
