MotoGP » Hedger claims GP finish despite two falls

For me Luke Hedger is a talent of the future. His only problem is that he learns progressively, like Bradley Smith and I think this makes him less exciting for the media. Some riders hit a series with a bang like Alex Lowes did whereas others like Luke start inconspicuously but then build - like he did in BSSt where he became champion after the second year. Hope he sticks at it and hope he gets the opportunities that his talent deserves.

MotoGP » Kent: The best victory of my career

Again, not sure if that's a mistake, both Iannone and Petrucci have shown that the Pramac ride can be used as a career move and Redding and Bradl have shown that a prototype Honda isn't necessarily the perfect tool to start a career. The Pramac and Tech3 rides are probably the best you can get as a rookie unless you're a fast tracked Spaniard. Routes to prototype rides in MotoGP are few and far between and sometimes have to be grasped regardless. It's so easy to disappear in the bear pit of Moto2, just look at Simon, Alex Marquez and Cortese.

MotoGP » Kent: The best victory of my career

I can't understand why DK didn't go for the Pramac ride (given that he had the choice). He is this years big story but as he knows too well that can vanish within 2 races and the minute you loose that sparkle the MotoGP teams don't call anymore. Maybe he has negotiated some kind of deal in Moto2 which will move him into MotoGP with that same team? Kiefer? Pons? MarcVDS?

MotoGP » Smith talks 2016 Yamaha, 2017 factory seats

Bradley has improved every year racing in MotoGP and that often despite running less up to date equipment than his team mate. Make no mistake, he's going to have to improve again next year to have any kind of chance of a factory ride, but given his previous trajectory it's possible. For next year it would have to be the kind of thing that Cal and Dovi did on the Tech3 or more but I think Bradley knows that. People who slate him for not having won a WC forget what he did on the Moto2 Tech3 Mistral which was pretty heroic. The paddock is knowledgeable when assessing riders and tends to make well judged allowances for equipment - you can see this at the moment with Sam Lowes.
