A bold statement about Bautista, but, funny enough, not one I doubt. The guy is mega to watch (Just check that style!). He also shows some aggression. I think the fuel tank issue was a measured risk (that never paid off for Honda). More fuel means more shifting weight in the opening laps. Cal struggled a lot on the Yam last year in the early stages on a full fuel load. I can't wait for Honda to improve this bike / Scot to get a faster seat next year.

@ theoldgitspeaks I'm sure in future Jenson will make VERY sure Kimi doesn't crash in qualifying! This way he won't be caught out behind traffic and a yellow flag! PFFFT... Seriously, some people crack me up! He was CONSISTENTLY in the top five in every session this weekend, running Top two in wet and dry in qualifying before the yellow flag. I take NOTHING away from Kevin, that drive, as a debut was IMPECCABLE! Jenson's drive as well as the calls rfom the pit were equally good. The pit has a LOT to do with a race, and I remember the Hami-boppers on here screaming about BAD pit calls ion his time at Mclaren. I guess it works both ways.

Funny how racing has survived so long then I guess....? Independatnt teams, yes, THAT'S WHAT DOMESTIC RACING IS FOR, unless they can afford it. The point is, MotoGP should be the "pinnacle". Not the, ANYONE WITH A BIT OF INTEREST AND EXTRA CASH AND A PAY RIDER SERIES. Aleix Espargaro is proving a VERY big point right now. The problem in MotoGP is NOT the Factory vs Private... It is with the complete OVERLOAD of Pay Riders!!! Edwards is a great development rider but not MotoGP caliber. And look at the different results. I maintain that Dorna should be FINDING WAYS TO INTEREST THE FACTORIES AGAN, just as they have found ways to lure in private, underfunded teams that end up turning to pay riders instead of taking the best riders in the world. Good racing is not good if it fabricated. A million and one restrictions might make it level, but that's what BSB is for.

I am VERY confused!!! I thought DORNA wanted the manufacturers to play ball and move to Open Class??? Now, Ducati do that, WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF THE STIPULATED RULES, and suddenly DORNA change their tune... AGAIN!!! WTF?! The whole reason Ducati went Open (as Dorna wanted), was to exploit the ability to work on / develop their engine. Now, AFTER making that decision, Dorna is amending rules??? It's not like Ducati pulled a fast one, this was mooted since last year!!! I call foul play, Dorna you bunch of GITS! CLEARLY no interest in keeping the factories competitive, they want them budget guys in there AT ANY COST!

@ Talentfan You seem to be forgetting one crucial thing: WHAT IS MOTOGP?! GP racing has, for a very long time now, been a PROTOTYPE race series, which, much like F1, is all about using the LATEST TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE, as a test bed if you will, to see what works, what doesn't, and how to roll that out to the world of motorcycles. Traction control, now a major feature (though I'm not bothered with it) on very many road bikes, started in MotoGP. Yes, it was AWESOME when guys like KRJr were taking an engine and getting a custom chassis and being competitive. But times have changed and that is not what GP is about.
