@ Rahul I agree, nice to see Mahindra up there, but honestly, besides the name, there's not much Indian about them UNFORTUNATELY! Suter (chassis) is swiss, and the motor is Italian (Engine Engineering & Oral Engineering). Would like to see them give an Indian rider a shot though. Although in the same breath I dread the thought of Force India giving a ride to Karthikeyan..

@ raafrebel Don't forget, before this, Staring had never really been on the Bridgestones, didn't know the track, was in a new team, on a bike that was, on average, 40kph down on the competition last year. That comes into play a lot at a track like Sepang. I don't know if they have more power than last year, I never got to watch live timing, but I think after a few more tests, with a bit of effort to sort the electronics and motor, he could do well... Pirro only got that 5th because of the weather (and partly because the lack of power made the bike easier to handle in the wet).

When did they hire a pay driver may I ask? Yes, Perez has big money behind him, but he, without a doubt, has the talent! Got a Sauber on the podium twice, caught and almost passed Alonso... Please, grow up children, stop hating just to hate... Whitmarsh has a very valid point, it is getting to the stage where pay drivers can put a lot of people off this sport... Like Karthikeyan...
