@ James Warren I think people are over reacting a little. I think PI was an example of how well the Aprillia (Naturally easy on tyres) goes there. If we tyhink back to PI last year, Biaggi fghting back from stone last. I think once we're about 3 rounds into the year we can really assess what's gonna happen. For now, I say Good luck Tom, GO TEAM GREEN!!!

@ Bip Bip Run These teams spend HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO GET THESE BIKES AND RIDERS AND CREW TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! There is NO point in them running round at half pace and "sandbagging" as so many people so often suggest... They test so they can make the bikes perform better at pace, not Sunday breakfast run pace. That all said, IF Rossi was just spending the day, doing more laps than anyone else, JUST to learn the track and be comfortable on it, FAIR GAME, but we'll only see by the end of the test.

@ herewego - Unregistered OR are you talking about Stoner's TEN wins in one season in 2011 on the Honda? OR the FIVE wins in 2012 (Bearing in mind there would have been more had he not injured himself at Indy) Or, as @bmxers posted, the 23 wins on the Ducati? Which Rossi NEVER won on. It's EASY to ride from the back to first when: a) There are 12 - 15 bikes on the grid. b) You're on the best bike...
